If you love wonderful destinations, beautiful architecture and history in picture perfect settings then this is the treat for you! You will be based in the pretty village of De Rijp, close to the town of Alkmaar and just a short drive from Holland's bustling capital, Amsterdam.

In addition to having time to explore De Rijp and your lovely hotel, the Hotel de Rijper, we'll take you on some lovely excursions. A highlight is sure to be a day out discovering the world of windmills, cloggs and cheese that represents the true Holland. On top of that, we'll take you to beautiful Keukenhof Gardens and, of course, we'll take you to Amsterdam for the day too.

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach at your convenient local pick-up point, and get comfortable as we head to Kent to join our ferry for the crossing to France. We then continue to our hotel in northern Holland for our four night stay, with dinner served after arrival.

Days 2 to 4

Enjoy a hearty breakfast every morning to set you for whatever each day has in store.

Take time to explore the pretty village of De Rijp but make sure you join us on our included excursions. These include a full day to Zaanse Schans, Marken & Edam exploring traditional Holland along with a day in Amsterdam and time exploring beautiful Keukenhof Gardens. Return to your comfortable hotel every evening for a great dinner and a chance to share your day's experiences with fellow travellers.
 
 

Day 5

After breakfast, say farewell to Holland and sit back and relax as we head back towards Calais for the crossing back to the UK and the onward journey home, to arrive back mid to late evening subject to traffic and travel.

Hotel De Rijper Eilanden is located on the edge of the beautiful village De Rijp, which is part of the municipality of Alkmaar. The historic centre is within walking distance of the hotel. Discover the history of this beautiful village, you will imagine yourself in the 17th century, visit the VVV of De Rijp in Het Raadhuis, and the museum "In 't Houten Huis". Zaanse Schans, Marken & Edam - Windmills, Cloggs & Cheese

A day trip to Zaanse Schans, Marken, and Edam offers an enchanting glimpse into traditional Dutch life.
