Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head to the south coast for your short ferry crossing to the lovely Isle of Wight. On arrival at your hotel in the popular resort of Sandown, there will be time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll for a breath of sea air along the pretty prom. Make sure you have time for a drink in the bar to meet new friends before enjoying your first evening meal.

Days 2 to 4

Your centrally located hotel makes the typical Victorian seaside resort of Sandown easy to explore. It may be a bit chilly for a paddle but perhaps take a stroll on the sandy beach or Esplanade. If you have a wander along Sandown Bay you could find a very special old souvenir with the island having one of the highest concentrations of dinosaur fossils anywhere in the world! Sit on the prom and watch the world go by maybe with some fish and chips or an ice cream! Or simply unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs.

The Isle of Wight may be just five miles off the mainland, but it’s a different world. Nowhere in the country can match it for geographical variety in its 23 mile long and 13 mile wide, stretch of land. You will find quiet fishing harbours and quaint towns and villages, along with stretches of golden sand and unspoilt beaches. You'll have plenty of time to explore Sandown at your own pace and maybe go even further? Having said that, if you don't want the hassle of organising everything yourself then make sure you join us on our fabulous excursions taking in some of the highlights of the island with on our scenic 'around the island tour' plus free time to explore nautical Ryde and the world famous yachting centre of Cowes.

Relax at the end of each day with your included evening meals plus entertainment provided by your hotel on some evenings. Or you may prefer a wander out along the lovely prom to watch the twinkling lights on the sea and the traditional entertainment of the nearby pier.

Days 5

After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to the Isle of Wight today. Board your comfortable coach for the short crossing across the Solent, and a relaxing onward journey home full of lovely memories with your newly made friends.

Ryde's beaches have soft sand and plenty of space particularly at low tide, and the Pier, at nearly half a mile, is one of the oldest and longest piers in the country. Next to the pier is the hovercraft terminal with links to the mainland in less than 10 minutes. Along the Esplanade you will find colourful flowerbeds, ten-pin bowling, marina, bowling greens and a small fun fair. The bustling main street has lots of unique shops and eateries flowing downhill to the seafront, making this an ideal visit for everyone.

Cowes, famed for its professional sailing, stunning Victorian architecture and vibrant festival atmosphere is one of the most popular towns on the Isle of Wight to visit year-round. There are stunning sea views over the Solent to the mainland beyond. Find a cosy spot to sit and watch the world go by with a hot chocolate...
