Enjoy a fabulous holiday to one of the UK's most popular holiday islands. The Isle of Wight may be just five miles off the mainland, but it’s a different world. Nowhere in the country can match it for geographical variety in its 23 mile long and 13 mile wide stretch of land. You will find quiet fishing harbours and quaint towns and villages, along with stretches of golden sand and unspoilt, award-winning beaches. More than half the Isle of Wight is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with spectacular scenery and a rich royal heritage, the island has plenty to offer all year round.
We'll whisk you away and over the water on the short crossing from the mainland to then arrive at your hotel in Sandown. The Burlington Hotel is in a central seaside location set back just 2 minutes walk from the beach and town centre.
Whilst on the Isle of Wight, join us as we explore some of the best the island has to offer. Our included excursions offer you the opportunity to visit Newport, Ryde and pretty Shanklin whilst also enjoying a wonderful 'Round the Island' tour.

Day 1
Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head to the south coast for your short ferry crossing to the lovely Isle of Wight. On arrival at your sea front hotel in the popular resort of Sandown there will be time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll for a breath of sea air along the pretty prom or visit the pier with its traditional entertainment. Make sure you have time for a drink in the bar to meet new friends before enjoying your first evening meal.
Days 2 to 4
Enjoy a traditional English breakfast each day to set you up properly for your day ahead. Your centrally located hotel makes the typical Victorian seaside resort of Sandown easy to explore. Try the crazy golf on the pier for a fun activity (you don't need children!) For something different visit the Dinosaur Museum, then have a wander along Sandown Bay on your own fossil hunt - you could find a very special old souvenir with the island having one of the highest concentrations of dinosaur fossils anywhere in the world! Perhaps have a paddle in the sea or sit on the prom and watch the world go by, maybe with some fish and chips or an ice cream! Or simply unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs.
You'll have plenty of time to explore Sandown and maybe go even further? Having said that, if you don't want the hassle of organising everything yourself then make sure you join us on our fabulous INCLUDED excursions to see the island on our scenic 'around the island tour', plus visits to explore Newport, Ryde and Shanklin.
