Enjoy a fabulous, great value midweek break on one of the UK's most popular holiday islands.

The Isle of Wight may be just five miles off the mainland, but it’s a different world. Nowhere in the country can match it for geographical variety in its 23 mile long and 13 mile wide, stretch of land. You will find quiet fishing harbours and quaint towns and villages, along with stretches of golden sand and unspoilt, award-winning beaches. More than half the Isle of Wight is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with spectacular scenery and a rich royal heritage, the island has plenty to offer all year round, especially in Autumn to avoid the hustle and bustle of peak season crowds. Our charming seaside town base of Sandown, nestled on the island's eastern coast, beckons with its captivating blend of natural beauty, history and fun. Whether you're seeking a tranquil beach retreat, an adventurous exploration of the island's treasures, or a journey through its rich history, this break offers a memorable visit.

We'll whisk you away and over the water on the short crossing from the mainland to then arrive at your hotel in Sandown. The Burlington Hotel is in a central seaside location set back just 2 minutes walk from the beach and town centre. Enjoy an included dinner, with a £1 Bar and entertainment every evening.

Whilst on the Isle of Wight, you can relax and simply enjoy time in Sandown at your own pace, or if you wish to explore further, join us on our included excursions as we take in some of the best the island has to offer with a scenic 'Round the Island Tour', plus we visit popular Newport, a charming town known for its historical significance and picturesque waterfront, and the pretty seaside town of Ryde .

An ideal choice for:

* Anyone looking for a chance to explore the best of the Isle of Wight at a great price
* Traditional seaside lovers looking for a relaxing midweek break
* Lovers of picture-perfect settings and scenery

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head to the south coast, with coffee/lunch stops along the way. We take the short ferry crossing to the lovely Isle of Wight. On arrival at your hotel in the popular resort of Sandown there will be time to settle in and relax or perhaps take a stroll for a breath of sea air along the pretty prom. Make sure you have time for a drink in the bar before enjoying your first evening meal.

Days 2 to 4

Enjoy a traditional English breakfast each day to set you up properly for your day ahead.

Your centrally located hotel makes the typical Victorian seaside resort of Sandown easy to explore. Perhaps take a stroll on the sandy beach or Esplanade, and maybe even have a paddle in the sea. If you have a wander along Sandown Bay you could find a very special old souvenir with the island having one of the highest concentrations of dinosaur fossils anywhere in the world! Sit on the prom and watch the world go by maybe with some fish and chips or an ice cream! Or simply unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs.

You'll have plenty of time to explore Sandown and maybe go even further? Having said that, if you don't want the hassle of organising everything yourself then make sure you join us on our fabulous excursions to see the island on our scenic 'around the island tour', plus a chance to spend a few hours exploring Newport with its charming high street and picturesque harbour, and Ryde, the Isle of Wight’s largest town, with its broad seafront promenade, marina and pier.

Whatever you've been up to during the day, you can always look forward to relaxing at the end of each day with your included evening meals plus entertainment provided by your hotel every evening, and a £1 bar on selected drinks. Or you may prefer a wander out along the lovely prom to watch the twinkling lights on the sea and the traditional entertainment of the nearby pier.
