Itinerary
Day 1
Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head to the south coast for your short ferry crossing to the lovely Isle of Wight. On arrival at your hotel in the popular resort of Sandown, there will be time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll for a breath of sea air along the pretty prom. Make sure you have time for a drink in the bar to meet new friends before enjoying your first evening meal.
Days 2 & 3
Your centrally located hotel makes the typical Victorian seaside resort of Sandown easy to explore. It may be a bit chilly for a paddle but perhaps take a stroll on the sandy beach or Esplanade. If you have a wander along Sandown Bay you could find a very special old souvenir with the island having one of the highest concentrations of dinosaur fossils anywhere in the world! Sit on the prom and watch the world go by maybe with some fish and chips or an ice cream! Or simply unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs.
The Isle of Wight may be just five miles off the mainland, but it’s a different world. Nowhere in the country can match it for geographical variety in its 23 mile long and 13 mile wide, stretch of land. You will find quiet fishing harbours and quaint towns and villages, along with stretches of golden sand and unspoilt beaches. Don't miss your INCLUDED excursions taking you to the most popular spots on the Island.
Relax at the end of each day with your included evening meals plus entertainment provided by your hotel on some evenings. Or you may prefer a wander out along the lovely prom to watch the twinkling lights on the sea and the traditional entertainment of the nearby pier.
For those who wish to, you can watch the Six Nations Rugby match at the bar in the hotel.
