Join us on this wonderful trip to the heart of North Devon. We stay in the popular resort of Ilfracombe which has been welcoming holidaymakers for many years. It is a picturesque seaside favourite sitting amongst the rugged coastline of North Devon with nearby towering cliff tops and Damien Hirst’s Verity statue contrasting with the quaint pastel houses along the seafront. Ilfracombe really has something for everyone with stunning beaches, attractive historic harbour, famous beach tunnels, local restaurants and shops as well as a thriving art gallery scene. Located on the South West Coast Path, this coastal escape promises a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration!Making the well-located Dilkhusa Grand Hotel as our base, we will have plenty of time to explore the resort itself as well as offering included excursions.
The regions beautiful coastline is renowned for its unique character and spectacular scenery. Discover lush rolling Devon countryside and the wild beauty of Exmoor National Park, as well as the stunning Atlantic Highway into Cornwall with visits to Boscastle and Bude.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your coach this morning, and head towards the wonderful North Devon coast and our lovely resort of Ilfracombe for our 4-night stay. On arrival at the Dilkhusa Grand Hotel there is time to settle in, perhaps relax with a drink in the bar or take a breath of sea air on a brisk stroll, before you enjoy our first delicious dinner.Day 2-4
Your comfortable hotel Ilfracombe allows you to make the most of your free time to explore its beautiful location on the north Devon coast.This Victorian seaside resort is known as the jewel in the North Devon Coast. Discover a quaint quayside and harbour, whitewashed villas, lovely beaches, coastal paths. Why not visit the stunning Tunnel Beaches, hand carved in the 1820’s, providing a truly unique experience. There is also an abundance of shops and cafés where you could treat yourself to a delicious Devon Cream tea! Whatever you do, just make sure you leave room for your evening meals, which are followed by great entertainment on some evenings.
You can spend all of your time in and around Ilfracombe or join our INCLUDED excursions to experience some of the delights the region has to offer.
Enjoy a full day excursion taking in the glorious scenery and inspiring landscapes of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon coast. We make our way through scenic ‘Little Switzerland’ to the lovely village of Dunster, with its famous castle and octagonal Yarn Market. We have time in the popular seaside resort of Minehead, and then return along the spectacular coast road past ‘Lorna Doone’ country to the lovely twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, set one above the other, connected by the famous Cliff Railway.
We also head into Cornwall and take you to the Cornish fishing village of Boscastle, a picturesque natural harbour and village, mostly owned by the National Trust. The Elizabethan quay sits in an impressive amphitheatre of steep cliffs and is home to quaint stone-built cottages, shops and tea-rooms. Also discover Bude, a seaside resort surrounded by wild coastline and gorgeous beaches, where you’ll find plenty of places to tuck into a cream tea or an ice cream.
Day 5
After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to Ilfracombe today. Board your comfortable coach for a relaxing journey home with suitable stops on the way.Ilfracombe

Out of all the hotels in Ilfracombe, The Dilkhusa Grand Hotel has one of the most interesting histories. Originally a private house, ‘Dilkhusa’ means ‘House of the Happy Heart’ in Hindustani and was named by a Raj when he bought the building as a gift for his wife.
