Heythrop Park Hotel & Spa

After joining the coach at one of our convenient local joining points, we head for the lovely Cotswolds and enjoy a scenic tour through some of the best that this area has to offer, including stops at Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold. From there we carry on towards Oxford and our luxury hotel for this weekend break, Heythrop Park Resort & Spa. Check in and then explore this amazing country house residence before enjoying a tasty dinner and enjoying the rest of the evening at leisure.
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, today is all about two of your TV favourites, the Vicar of Dibley and Midsomer Murders as we take you on a tour of some of the key filming locations set throughout this region. Return to the hotel in the afternoon to relax, share stories and enjoy another delicious hotel at Heythrop Park.
After a final tasty breakfast it is sadly time to leave our luxury hotel and make our way to Oxford for some free time exploring this historic city. From there we re-join the coach and start the journey back home to Wales.
One of the delights of visiting the Cotswolds is exploring the different areas, each with its own identity. But all have those defining Cotswold features: golden stone, lively market towns and rolling hills, the ‘wolds’. Explore these English villages of honey-coloured stone and take in splendid, lively market towns. Bourton-on-the-Water straddles the River Windrush with its series of elegant low bridges beside neat tree-shaded greens and tidy stone banks. Standing back from the river are traditional Cotswolds buildings, many of which are now tourist shops for the day-trippers and visitors. Nearby Stow is another iconic Cotswold destination, located high up on the Roman Fosse Way and offering fabulous views from its position as the highest of the Cotswolds towns.
