Traditionally this English fair is held at the village of Tarrant Hinton in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside. From small beginnings, this annual event has become one of the favoured places for those interested in how people lived in bygone years. It is now widely recognised as The National Heritage Show as well as being regarded as the leading show of its type in the World. The spectacle covers an enormous showground, at over 600 acres being one of Europe’s largest outdoor event locations. 2018 sees the show in its 50th year.
Beautiful Bournemouth, famous for its golden sand, sea views, tropical gardens, outdoor adventure and tons of festivals and events. So, if you’re a beach loving, water splashing, Victorian architecture, riviera seeking, show stopping kind of person or family, then Bournemouth is the place for you.

Leisuretime Allocated Hotel
You will be staying in a good hotel in the local area. All the bedrooms will have private facilities, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities, and the hotel will have a good bar and restaurant. Your hotel will be named on your final travel documents.
After joining the coach, we make our way to Bournemouth. We expect to arrive at our hotel late afternoon.
Traditional English breakfast followed by a day at the Great Dorset Steam Fair.
After breakfast we make our way back to South Wales with stops en route.
Great Dorset Steam Fair
The massive 600-acre showground at Tarrant Hinton comes alive with 2000 working exhibits, 200 working steam engines and 100 fairground organs. Heavy Horses, a fairground and stalls galore add interest and combine with the principal attractions to make it one of the best fairground shows in the country.
