The unofficial capital of Cornish surfing is also the south coast’s busiest town. Newquay’s cluster of beaches remains as glorious as ever, and if you’re looking to learn how to brave the waves, this is the place to do it. Apart from the twelve golden beaches, Newquay has many hidden gems. The three main ones are the Harbour, Huer’s Hut and the Trenance Gardens and Boating Lake. The scenery and wildlife that you will see whilst on the coast path are truly inspiring. With the captivating coastlines and the endless views of the ocean, Newquay is truly special.
On the seafront, the Blue Reef Aquarium features an underwater tunnel going through a coral-reef tank. Here you can see pufferfish, sharks, and rays. You will find many of the attractions in and around Newquay are fun for all ages - from theme parks to parks and gardens. Newquay is also an ideal base to explore Cornwall and its heritage. There are many historic places to visit such Tintagel castle, the fabled power base of King Arthur.

The Barrowfield Hotel, Newquay
The hotel is ideally located, just 200 yards from the Tolcarne beach, considered one of the best in the area and only a short stroll from Newquay town centre. The hotel boasts its own heated indoor swimming pool with hot tub and sauna as well as a snooker and games room. There is live entertainment nightly and spacious lounges offer plenty of space to relax in. There is a lift to all floors, free wifi and comfortable accommodation.
After joining the coach, we head towards our destination that will have coffee/lunch stops along the way. We expect to arrive at our hotel late afternoon.
Days 2 - 4
Traditional English breakfast followed by free time and included excursions. Dinner and entertainment at the hotel.
After breakfast we make our way home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.
Padstow is a charming working fishing port surrounded by glorious sandy beaches, at the head of the Camel River. Watching the everyday ebb and flow of harbour life is a perfect way to spend a day. This foodie destination with popular eateries such as Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, is the start and end point for the Camel Cycle Trail and a good base for water sports. For some of the cliff scenes in the TV series Poldark, the filming action moved to the Padstow area. Fans of north Cornwall will recognise Levlizzick, and the spectacular views across the Camel Estuary and Tregirls beach.
Based around a thriving harbour, Falmouth is the gateway to the beautiful Fal River which runs through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town is famous for its creative buzz with many art galleries displaying contemporary works and venues showcasing independent films and live bands. The many reasons to visit include, the fascinating maritime heritage; the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Helford and Fal Rivers; water sports; boat trips running from the pier and quay; and plenty of family friendly attractions.
A magnificent late Victorian country house with garden and wooded estate. Explore the nooks and crannies of a classic Victorian mansion by delving into the past and discover the fascinating history of the house at Lanhydrock. Enjoy the formal gardens as well as acres of untamed woodland walks. A real Cornish Gem.
