Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the South Devon coast. On arrival in your resort of Exmouth there will be plenty of time to settle in or enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal.

Days 2 & 3

Your comfortable seafront hotel allows you to make the most of your free time to explore your lovely resort. Exmouth is known for its magnificent sandy beaches and coastal paths which offer plenty of opportunities for exploration. In fact, you can walk directly from the hotel’s gardens out onto the town’s promenade. Known as one of the oldest towns in Devon, it is a vibrant area that is rich with heritage. Perhaps treat yourself to a Devon Cream Tea but just make sure you leave room for your delicious evening meals, which are followed by great festive entertainment some nights. Spend all of your time in and around Exmouth or join us on our two INCLUDED excursions.

Explore the very best of the Devon coast in Seaton and Sidmouth. Also enjoy a half-day visit the beautiful and ancient city of Exeter, with time to visit the scenic Cathedral Green, bustling quayside and great shopping opportunities.

Day 4

After a final delicious Devon breakfast it is time to say farewell to Exmouth today, as you join your coach and travel home, with time to relax and share your happy memories with your fellow travellers.

Seaton & Sidmouth

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationThe gateway to the Jurassic Coast, the friendly coastal resort of Seaton is located at the mouth of the River Axe within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This charming seaside town has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times and is is home to stunning gardens overlooking Lyme Bay. With its mile-long beach and the South West Coast Path and Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve within walking distance, Seaton’s beautiful scenery and natural environment are a joy to explore. A pedestrianised town centre full of independent shops and cafes, together with the popular Seaton Tramway (generally main season visits only), means there is plenty to see and do!

Sidmouth is a beautiful coastal town with a Regency feel which is ideal for visitors of all ages. Set in the middle of spectacular countryside, Sidmouth is home to beautiful beaches, stylish eating places and great shopping, with everything from unusual gifts, designer clothing and lifestyle goods available. Situated on the Jurassic Coast, its coastline is dominated by the vivid red sandstone cliffs which date back to the Triassic period. It is a great town for walking, be it a gentle stroll along the seafront or a more energetic climb up the stunning rocks. Make sure you also take some time to explore the town centre, rich in royal and architectural history, as well as discovering a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Exeter

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationAs the county town of Devon, Exeter is a vibrant, modern city with a historical past pre-dating the Romans. If you’re in need of a spot of retail therapy Exeter’s Princesshay offers a contemporary mixture of shopping, leisure and restaurants all within walking distance of beautiful Exeter Cathedral. It has an eclectic mix of global High Street brands, mixed in with local one of a kind boutiques – a shopper’s paradise.

You could also explore the Historic Quayside, just a ten-minute walk from the cathedral, and take a stroll along the canal past quaint antique shops, art exhibitions, local bars and lively waterside restaurants.

Exmouth

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationExmouth is one of the oldest and most picturesque seaside towns in Devon, and the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, along with two miles of lovely sandy beach. The town is home to an indoor market and range of shops to be browsed and explored amongst the splendid Regency architecture. Fresh local produce is in abundance, from fresh fish and chips, to celebrity chefs and fine dining Exmouth has an eclectic mix of restaurants on offer in the town and along the seafront.
