INCLUDED Visitor DestinationImagine a city with Roman roots and a Viking past, where ancient walls surround contemporary independent shops and vibrant eateries and there’s a festival for every month of the year. Welcome to York! Renowned for its exquisite architecture, tangle of quaint cobbled streets, iconic York Minster and wealth of visitor attractions, York is a flourishing city. Delve into the city’s vibrant café culture, take time out to enjoy some of the country’s most talented street entertainers or simply watch the world go by while sipping a drink by the river. Visitors to York can enjoy hundreds of attractions, museums, historic buildings, tours, shops, restaurants and bars within the compact walled city. You’re never far from an awe-inspiring moment.

Beverley is a thriving traditional market town and its Market Cross still stands proudly in the centre of its bustling marketplace. Visitors are attracted to this well-loved town by a variety of options - you can enjoy a day at the races, boutique shopping, a quiet drink in an historic pub and a meal in an increasing number of café-bars and restaurants. The Flemingate Shopping Centre, which is also packed with leisure options, has dramatically transformed an area in the town once known for its tannery. You can follow your exploration of the wide-open pastures of Beverley Westwood with a visit to the magnificent 13th-century Beverley Minster or a stroll along the Beck.

East Yorkshire Coast with Hornsea & Skipsea

This excursion will showcase some of the most dramatic and attractive coastline that EYorkshire has to offer.

The seaside town of Hornsea has a lovely sandy beach, a busy promenade to stroll along, amusements and plenty of attractions for all the family. The town has retained a pleasant village atmosphere and people come from miles around to visit. It also has a colourful history of smuggling, a trade which was aided and abetted by the entire town, even the local church, whose vault was used to stash contraband. These days shopping has taken over from smuggling as one of Hornsea's favourite pastimes, explore the town centre's numerous independent shops before relaxing in the cosy tea rooms with some irresistible homemade tea and cake.  To the southern edge of Hornsea there is also the Hornsea Freeport for discounted high street brands and a selection

Skipsea is an altogether quieter affair. Retaining its Quality Coast Away from it All Award, Skipsea beach is a long narrow stretch of sand that has long been popular with holiday makers for a great day out at the seaside, and it's rural location means that it is ideal for those looking for a quieter beach with a more relaxed atmosphere. Visit nearby Skipsea Castle too. This castle was built in 1086 but unfortunately only earthworks remain as the castle was destroyed in the 13th century.
