Bath

INCLUDED Visitor Destination

Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. The compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, while admiring Bath's stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture that is straight from a Jane Austen novel. For a special treat enjoy the grandeur of the world-famous Pump Room for afternoon tea, and a sample of the healing Bath waters taken by the city's famous residents for hundreds of years. For something simpler but just as historic try a delicious Sally Lunn Bunn served in the famous eating house or to take away, made to the same recipe since 1680!

Cotswolds Villages including Broadway & Stow-on-the-Wold

The world famous Cotswolds are the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, covering nearly 800 square miles over 5 counties. You are sure to fall in love with the honey-coloured stone, quaint villages and lively market towns and rolling hills, the ‘wolds’ themselves.

Often referred to as the 'Jewel of the Cotswolds', beautiful and historic Broadway is a memorable place to visit with its pretty High Street lined with horse chestnut trees and mixture of period houses and picturesque honey coloured Cotswold stone cottages which have lured visitors for centuries. It is a real pleasure to browse the cute shops and tea rooms. Perhaps pay a visit to the lovely Lygon Arms Hotel and snuggle by the fire with a tasty treat. It is intriguing to think that, during the Civil War, Oliver Cromwell actually spent the night before the Battle of Worcester here, while King Charles Ihad previously used the building to meet and rally his royalist supporters.

Nearby Stow-on-the-Wold is another iconic Cotswold destination, located high up on the Roman Fosse Way and offering fabulous views from its position as the highest of the Cotswolds towns. The broad market square offers a host of shopping opportunities, from boutiques to antiquities, and of course the essential traditional tea rooms where you can take time to absorb the feel of a slower way of life.
