Come and join us to enjoy a five-day festive getaway on the magical Isle of Wight for Christmas. We'll whisk you away and over the water on the short crossing from the mainland to your elegant hotel. The recently refurbished Burlington Hotel is in a central seaside location set back just 2 minutes walk from the beach and town centre. Staying in the historic resort of Sandown, we will have plenty of time to experience all this fabulous town has to offer. Take the chance to do as much or as little as you like throughout your stay, with plenty of food, entertainment and included excursions to soak up all the seasonal charm of the island.
On Christmas Eve, we have a scenic island highlights tour with free time in Newport for those last minute gifts. Then on Boxing Day we visit the seaside town of Ryde.The Isle of Wight has been one the UK's most popular destinations since Queen Victoria chose to spend her family holidays here in the 19th century. With its elegant resort towns and miles of unspoilt coastline and spectacular scenery, the island has plenty to offer all year round and it’s a perfect place to celebrate Christmas.

Itinerary
Day 1
Days 2-4
Your centrally located hotel makes the typical Victorian seaside resort of Sandown easy to explore. It may be a bit chilly for a paddle but perhaps take a stroll on the sandy beach or Esplanade. If you have a wander along Sandown Bay you could find a very special old souvenir with the island having one of the highest concentrations of dinosaur fossils anywhere in the world! Sit on the prom and watch the world go by maybe with some fish and chips or even an ice cream - well it's Christmas! Or simply unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs.The hotel will be providing a festive food and entertainment package including a fabulous Christmas lunch on Christmas Day whilst entertainment will be provided most evenings. You can spend all of your time in and around Sandown doing your own thing or join our INCLUDED excursions.
On Christmas Eve we include a circular highlights tour of the island, which boasts 60 miles of spectacular coastline and stunning scenery. We will take in plenty of the magnificent views and famous sights that this fabulous isle has to offer before arriving in the Islands capital of Newport for a wander and the opportunity to pick up any last minute gifts! On Boxing Day, we will spend some time at leisure in Ryde with its long stretch of golden sand, pretty esplanade, marina and beautiful gardens. Take a stroll along the famous 19th-century pier, the oldest in England, or admire the many boats moored in the town’s busy harbour.
Day 5
After our final hearty breakfast today it is time to say farewell to the Isle of Wight as we board our comfortable coach for the last time. We head back to East Cowes for the return ferry to the Mainland before a relaxing onward journey home, full of lovely memories.Tour Includes

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationNewport on the Isle of Wight has two elegant squares and many fine Georgian and Victorian town houses. The impressive colonnaded Guildhall was designed by John Nash and built in 1816, with the clock tower added in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. It now houses the Museum of Island History and the Tourist Information Centre. Shopping in Newport is a pleasure, and there is no better time to find a seasonal bargain. Newport Harbour is just a short walk from the town centre and museums, crafts studios and the Quay Arts Centre are housed in former warehouses.Ryde
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationThe resort of Ryde is a welcoming seaside town on the north east coast of the Isle of Wight. It is the Isle's largest town, often referred to as the ’Gateway to the Island’. Take in the views of shimmering waters and the long stretch of golden sands, and the Pier, at nearly half a mile, is one of the oldest and longest piers in the country. Next to the pier is the hovercraft terminal with links to the mainland in less than 10 minutes. Along the Esplanade you will find colourful flowerbeds, a pretty marina and a wonderful selection of boutiques, museums and galleries. The newly refurbished Burlington Hotel boasts 70 ensuite rooms and is in a central seaside location set back just 2 minutes’ walk from the beach and town centre. Sandown Seafront provides the perfect day at the beach for all, whether you are looking to relax, play crazy golf or fancy a spot of sailing. The hotel offers a traditional English or Continental breakfast and, in the evening, enjoy a varied menu which caters to all dietary requirements. The hotel Bar/Lounge regularly hosts local live entertainment in a relaxed and comfortable environment. You also have the option to get up on the dance floor, perfect should you wish to dance the night away. There is no lift but a number of ground floor rooms are available.
