The fair brings the grounds to life with a celebration of rural traditions, showcasing countryside skills, artisan food and drink, shopping stalls, horticulture and thrilling arena displays. Set against the stunning backdrop of Chatsworth House, the Country Fair adds colour, energy and a true festival atmosphere to this iconic Derbyshire landmark.

Chatsworth House itself is one of England’s best known country estates. Home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the house has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. The House contains thousands of works of art that span 4000 years and come from all over the world. Roman and Egyptian sculpture, masterpieces of Rembrandt and even modern art can be found at Chatsworth House. Explore over 25 rooms in the house including the Painted Hall, State Rooms, Sculpture Gallery and discover its art, history and family. Plus, learn how succeeding generations have made their mark on one of Derbyshire’s finest country houses. The House is surrounded by 105 acres of garden, cultivated over nearly 500 years. Chatsworth can also be seen on film too, including The Duchess, Pride and Prejudice, and the popular Channel 4 series following modern day life on the estate.

NOTE: Whilst your ticket to the Country Fair includes entrance to the house, admission is subject to availability on the day and cannot be pre-booked.

Crich Tramway Village & Matlock Bath
