This 5-day midweek coach holiday offers the chance to discover the scenic wonders and treasures of Cambridge, Stamford, and Oakham as well as the famous royal retreat of Sandringham with entry to the superb house and garden.

Your comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Peterborough provides a great base for our stay with dinner and breakfast included, and is ideally ideally situated to explore the highlights of the East of England on our included excursions.

We make our way to the delightful Georgian town of Stamford. Widely regarded as one of the finest stone towns in England, it has appeared in a number of films and TV programmes. The narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards are home to a variety of speciality shops, whilst the high street has a choice of independent and recognised retailers. We then travel on to the pretty, traditional market town of Oakham; look out for the unusual stocks that were used to detain criminals by the legs - the five hole stocks are somewhat of a mystery! We also head to lovely Rutland Water, England's largest man made lake to enjoy a cruise to take in the beautiful views.

You'll also spend a day in the beautiful, historic city of Cambridge, nestled along the River Cam and renowned for its world-class university, fantastic architecture, charming cobbled streets, iconic landmarks and interesting shops and boutiques. Stroll through the picturesque Backs, a tranquil riverside area with scenic views of the colleges. Immerse yourself in history at the Fitzwilliam Museum or explore the delightful Cambridge Botanic Garden. Why not take a leisurely punt along the River Cam, taking in the beauty of the city from a unique perspective!
