Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach at your convenient local pick-up point, and head for beautiful Blenheim Palace for our afternoon / evening visit. You will have plenty of time to explore the stunning light trail in the sweeping manicured gardens and marvel at the amazing decorations and twinkling trees and lights that adorn the interior rooms of the majestic palace itself. A wide range of seasonal food and drink will be available to purchase in the East Courtyard and along the Illuminated Light Trail, including mulled wine and mince pies. There is also a Christmas Market with many designer/maker craft traders who will be housed in wooden chalets in the Great Court. Their distinctive range of artisan products will make perfect treats and gifts this Christmas. Later in the evening, you will rejoin your coach and continue to your overnight hotel with time to relax ready for tomorrow's excitement!

Please note: As this is an afternoon/evening event, you may wish to eat at Blenheim as food may not be available at the hotel due to our later arrival time.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, say farewell to your hotel and head for the lovely city of Bath and its picture perfect Christmas Market for time to browse and discover delicious festive treats and explore the amazing shops and great architecture of this historic setting. Rejoin your coach later this afternoon to relax and think about your wonderful trip (and possibly one or two purchases) as you head home..

Bath Christmas Market

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationBuilt for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. For the Christmas season the city centre becomes a twinkling celebration with the streets and squares around the iconic centre filled with dozens of traditional chalets offering gifts and treats galore, an illumination trail of its most beautiful historic buildings, Victorian carousel, traditional carols, and street entertainment centred around the Abbey and Roman Baths. Why not indulge in a glass of mulled wine as the driving is taken care of! The compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, while admiring its stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture that is straight from a Jane Austen novel. For a special treat enjoy the grandeur of the world-famous Pump Room for afternoon tea, and a sample of the healing Bath waters taken by the city's famous residents for hundreds of years. For something simpler but just as historic try a delicious Sally Lunn Bunn served in the famous eating house or to take away, made to the same recipe since 1680!

PLEASE NOTE: The dedicated coach drop off place is scheduled to be Royal Avenue which is a 10-15 minute leisurely walk into Bath. It is close to the famous Royal Crescent and Bath on Ice. This is a 10-minute walk from Milsom Street, the northern zone of the Christmas Market. There are dedicated toilets facilities, including an accessible toilet, available for visitors. Please note, this is downhill on the way into the Bath however there is a slight incline on the way back. The coach parking is 15 minutes from the furthest point of the market. This is the ONLY drop-off and pick-up location for any trips to Bath City Centre during the Christmas Market so if you have any walking difficulties, please consider this prior to booking.

As midnight strikes, a glass slipper leads Prince Charming to a fairytale Christmas wedding, and of course don’t miss the pumpkin carriage, it’s the ultimate selfie spot!
