This is a great value midweek break to one of the UK's most popular seaside resorts and the glorious North West of England!
Blackpool is a large seaside resort on the Irish Sea, bursting with both character and atmosphere. With award-winning sandy beaches, the largest range of visitor attractions outside of London and year-round fun and excitement, this iconic destination is quite rightly hailed as the seaside entertainment capital of the UK. Visit the historic Tower Ballroom or take a ride to the top of the Tower for magnificent views! Explore the famous piers, take a walk along the Promenade and sandy beaches, or get away from it all in Stanley Park. It is also home to the UK’s only surviving first generation tramway so, of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on the famous tram along the prom! This holiday is the perfect opportunity to find out what all the fuss is about or, if you are going back again, to revisit your favourite haunts. You can spend all of your time relaxing, exploring or enjoying the sights in Blackpool or join our great included excursions.
A highlight has to be your day out to Lake Windermere where you will enjoy a scenic cruise across this iconic lake and a ride on the heritage Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. All of it a true feast for the eyes and senses.
In addition you will get to visit one of the most famous local market towns, Ormskirk, on its twice-weekly market day. Meander through 100 stalls selling a huge variety of local produce and remember the coach has plenty of space to stash those bargains! Finally, you can explore the lovely nearby resort of Southport and a classic seaside destination with a distinctly traditional feel. The perfect place to enjoy a well-earned ice cream on the seafront - or maybe some fish and chips?
Now all those excursions means you're sure to want a little time to relax and enjoy Blackpool on your own and there is plenty of time for that too. You'll be staying in the popular, budget 2-star Georgian Hollies, located in the heart of the resort close to the Blackpool Tower and Winter Gardens and, as you'd expect from a Blackpool hotel, it is well known for its fabulous evening entertainment and we've even thrown in a £1 bar, so you can't help but have a great time!
A great choice for:
* Blackpool and seaside lovers of all ages
* People who love exploring and are curious to discover more in the region
* Anyone who loves a relaxed time away with everything taken care of
* A great value 5-day coach holiday
