Few resorts anywhere in the world can rival the popularity of Blackpool - Britain's capital of fun! The world famous Tower, three piers, miles of golden sands, the spectacular Pleasure Beach with its breath-taking ‘white knuckle’ rides, atmospheric trams, horse drawn carriages, a Sealife centre, Madame Tussaud’s Waxworks, a Zoo Park, an Art Gallery - Blackpool has them all.

This is a great value break to one of the UK's most popular seaside resorts and the glorious North West of England! Bursting with both character and atmosphere with award-winning sandy beaches, the largest range of visitor attractions outside of London and year-round fun and excitement, this iconic destination is quite rightly hailed as the seaside entertainment capital of the UK. Visit the historic Tower Ballroom or take a ride to the top of the Tower for magnificent views! Explore the famous piers, take a walk along the Promenade and sandy beaches, or get away from it all in Stanley Park. It is also home to the UK’s only surviving first generation tramway so, of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on the famous tram along the prom! This holiday is the perfect opportunity to find out what all the fuss is about or, if you are going back again, to revisit your favourite haunts. You can spend all of your time relaxing, exploring or enjoying the sights in Blackpool or join our great included excursions.

A highlight has to be your day out to Lake Windermere where you will enjoy a scenic cruise across this iconic lake and a ride on the heritage Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. All of it a true feast for the eyes and senses.

In addition just along the coast from Blackpool is Lytham St Annes, home to a fine promenade, a lovely sandy beach, beautiful gardens, old half-timbered buildings, quaint shops and the famous Lytham Green and Windmill. Finally, you can also explore the lovely nearby resort of Southport and a classic seaside destination with a distinctly traditional feel. The perfect place to enjoy a well-earned ice cream on the seafront - or maybe some fish and chips?

You'll be staying in the popular Queens Hotel, with spectacular sea views located on the South Promenade between Blackpool’s Central and South Piers, a short walk or tram ride to Blackpool's many attractions.

A great choice for:

* Blackpool and seaside lovers of all ages
* People who love exploring and are curious to discover more in the region

This is the best way to view this beautiful lake, and your boat includes a fascinating commentary on the history, attractions and points of interest surrounding Windermere. Your one way journey may be reversed dependent on local conditions, but you are assured of the best in heritage travel and scenery in this stunning location.
