BU5AAY

Located on the North-West coast of England, Blackpool is a large seaside resort on the Irish Sea, bursting with both character and atmosphere. With award-winning sandy beaches, the largest range of visitor attractions outside of London and year-round fun and excitement, Blackpool is quite rightly hailed as the seaside entertainment capital of the UK.

But if you've never been before, then you might not know what you are missing. This midweek break is the perfect opportunity to find out what all the fuss is about or, if you are going back again, to revisit your favourite haunts!

Visit the historic Tower Ballroom or take a ride to the top of the Tower for magnificent views! The Pleasure Beach offers 125 different theme park rides, attractions and shows. Explore the famous piers, take a walk along the Promenade and sandy beaches, or get away from it all in Stanley Park. Blackpool is now home to the UK’s only surviving first generation tramway so, of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on the famous tram along the prom!

And if you want to be in the heart of the action, then there is only one place to stay in Blackpool and that is on the Promenade itself! The popular Lyndene Hotel is located right on the seafront with sweeping views across the Irish Sea. It is a short walk to the central and south piers and the Blackpool Tower and, as you'd expect from a Blackpool hotel, it is well known for its fabulous entertainment with up to four different acts each evening ranging from singers, comedians, and fantastic tribute acts.

Boy have we packed a lot into this trip to Blackpool and the glorious North West of England! A highlight has to be your excursion for a scenic tour of the Lake District, a magical place to explore at any time of the year. You'll have plenty of time to explore Blackpool and we've also laid on a great Lancashire excursion to nearby Lancaster and Morecambe.

A great choice for:

* Blackpool and seaside lovers of all ages
* People who love exploring and are curious to discover more in the region
* Anyone who loves a relaxed time away with everything taken care of
