We head for a day in Nottingham where you can enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and excitement of this historic city's Winter Wonderland event including their Christmas Market. Nottingham’s Old Market Square offer the perfect backdrop for their festive market full of chalet-style stalls offering plenty of choice of gifts, crafts and speciality foods. A the legendary stomping ground of Robin Hood, this city effortlessly blends medieval charm with modern amenities, offering visitors a captivating blend of old and new.
Last but not least, enjoy a riverside stroll in charming Stratford-upon-Avon, beautifully illuminated at this special time of year but with the added bonus of the Victorian Christmas Market. The historic streets are transformed into a festive wonderland, offering an unparalleled experience for visitors of all ages. Traders, dressed in authentic Victorian attire, create a nostalgic atmosphere that transports you to a bygone era. Itinerary
Day 1
Join your comfortable coach this morning and sit back as we travel to the heart of bustling Birmingham where one of the largest Christmas Market in the UK will be taking place. This one is directly from Frankfurt, and offers the best in German tradition, food and twinkling Christmas chalets. Enjoy free time to browse at your leisure and soak up the atmosphere and festive entertainment. Make the most of the city centre with great shopping including the famous Bullring or the fascinating Jewellery Quarter or explore some of Birmingham's history and heritage. Maybe enjoy a meal or snack at one of the many restaurants or cafes in the city centre or the food stalls at the Christmas Market itself.
We will give you free time to explore before rejoining the coach later in the afternoon and head to your hotel to relax and have dinner ahead of more festive fun tomorrow.
Day 2
After a filling breakfast, we will head to Nottingham where the annual Winter Wonderland event will be taking place. You will find a traditional German-style Christmas Market with all the wonderful Christmas food, mulled wine, handmade gifts and decorations that you would expect to see. Known across the globe for its legendary connections to the famous outlaw Robin Hood, Nottingham also has plenty of other attractions of interest. There’s Nottingham Castle, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem - reputably the oldest pub in England, The Galleries of Justice Museum, the City of Caves attraction, and the fabulously designed Council House which is used for civic events.Rejoin your coach later to make our way back to the hotel with plenty of time before dinner in the evening.
Day 3
After our final hearty breakfast, we leave the hotel and head for Stratford upon Avon, a historic market town in Warwickshire situated in beautiful surroundings on the banks of the River Avon. Best known for being the birthplace of the poet and playwright William Shakespeare, it is a popular tourist destination attracting over three million visitors a year. Our visit coincides with the fabulous Victorian Christmas Market. Located throughout the town, it offers a wide range of stalls selling seasonal gifts, handmade items, street food & drink.This afternoon, head homewards with time to relax with your fabulous festive memories and maybe a gift or two.
Birmingham & Frankfurt Christmas Market
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationBirmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is the largest traditional German-style Christmas Market outside of Austria and Germany and is packed full of continental festive fayre and traditional goods that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. From the traditional German bratwurst sausage and gluhwein stands through to the intricate lacework, porcelain and handmade gifts, you may have to step back and remind yourself you are in this modern metropolis which is transformed into a quaint German Christmas world. Over the years, Birmingham's singing Christmas moose (Chris Moose) has become a Christmas attraction in his own right. Located directly in front of the Council House entrance, the singing moose (Chris to his mates) guarantees a Christmassy atmosphere and a lot of fun for young and old. Carols in the City as well as daily bands on the Christmas market stage create a romantic Christmas atmosphere. Enjoy a hot mug of gluhwein while listening to traditional Christmas songs or great Jazz music.
Away from the market, you can explore the famous Bullring and Grand Central for the ultimate shopping and dining experience - it has the UK's biggest Primark with the world's biggest Greggs! Nottingham Winter Wonderland

Entry is free to the Winter Wonderland, held in Old Market Square, there are rides, bars, stalls and traditional Bavarian chalets where you can enjoy festive treats and find the perfect gift. You’ll also have free time to shop in the city centre, or you may choose to visit the hilltop Castle Museum and Art Gallery. Stratford Upon Avon & Victorian Christmas Market
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationStratford-upon-Avon is a pretty historic market town situated on the banks of the River Avon and a popular tourist destination attracting over three million visitors a year. With its beautiful surroundings, wide range of tourist attractions and great shopping, it is not hard to see why this town is such a hit with coach trip visitors.
Usually a town that is associated with the world's most famous playwright William Shakespeare, the festive season sees the award-winning Victorian Christmas Market taking place in the town centre. Stall holders wear Victorian costumes, there is entertainment throughout, including a programme of performances on stage on Henley Street and a traditional funfair with carousel. Around 300 stalls offer a whole host of products perfect as seasonal treats or as presents for loved ones.
