High in the Pennines, the backbone of England, the wild and rugged West Yorkshire countryside has been attracting tourists, poets, painters and artists for generations. From our base in the historic former Mill town of Huddersfield we will explore all that this area has to offer with a ride on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway plus free time to explore the lovely village of Haworth, home of the Bronte Sisters.We also include a day in the historic spa town of Harrogate. Why not treat yourself to Afternoon Tea at Bettys or spend some time exploring the many and varied independent shops for which the town is renowned? You'll also get the opportunity to visit Skipton on Market Day, a rare treat.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your comfortable coach at your convenient pick up point this morning before we head for Yorkshire and the historic mill town of Huddersfield. Take some time to settle in or maybe enjoy a drink at the bar before our first nights dinner.Day 2-4
The historic market and mill town of Huddersfield will be our base for this tour and our hotel is situated on the edge of town in its own grounds. Enjoy some time to explore the area but don't forget to join us on some or all of our INCLUDED excursions to some of the best sights that this part of Yorkshire has to offer. Return every evening for hearty evening meals and an opportunity to chat about your experiences with your fellow travellers.Day 5
After our final breakfast today we board our comfortable coach for the last time and head for home full of memories with our newly made friends.Harrogate
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationA Victorian masterpiece with its handsome historic buildings and verdant gardens, the spa town of Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations. Magnificent buildings, colourful banks of flowers, broad tree-lined boulevards and wide-open spaces are reminders of its regal past. The 19th century Royal Pump Room Museum, housing the original sulphur well, and the Royal Baths Assembly Rooms, built in 1897, where the Turkish Baths are still in daily use. Valley Gardens is 17 acres of English Heritage Grade II listed parkland, themed gardens, floral displays and historic buildings and well worth a stroll through. Harrogate is widely known for its fine tea rooms, restaurants and unique shops all based in a lovely setting. A visit to Harrogate isn't complete without sampling the delights of the original Betty's Tea Rooms, and it's no surprise that Agatha Christie chose the town as her escape when she mysteriously disappeared in 1926!Haworth

The KWVR is a unique 5 mile branch line railway set in the heart of West Yorkshire and running heritage steam and diesel trains through stunning Brontë Country. The Railway is a preserved standard gauge line which joins the national railway network at Keighley and runs 5-miles up the valleys of the River Worth and Bridgehouse Beck to Oxenhope.
