The town is decorated for Christmas and filled with stalls selling gifts, seasonal items, foodie treats and much more. Entertainment goes on throughout the day, from buskers and street entertainers to live performances - helped along the way by some local fairies and elves, and of course Father Christmas himself!Historic Glastonbury is a quirky, unique place to visit at any time of year. It's a compact town, where everything is within walking distance, retaining an independent and eclectic air that you are sure to love. The Abbey, dating from 670 AD is now an atmospheric ruin, and a visit is still very worthwhile. Prior to that time, the town existed as a Celtic religious centre.
