Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! On arrival in your resort of Babbacombe there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner. It is easy to see why the picture perfect setting has earned it the title of the 'Jewel in the crown of the English Riviera'. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal, followed by some great festive entertainment. 

Days 2 & 3

Your comfortable central hotel allows you to make the most of your free time to explore your lovely resort, from the popular model village, cliff railway, pier and theatre there is plenty to entertain you. Don't miss Hanbury's Fish & Chips for a tasty treat with fine views across the bay. Just make sure you leave room for your delicious festive evening meals, which are followed by great festive entertainment every night.

Day 4

After a final delicious Devon breakfast it is time to say farewell to the English Riviera today, as you join your coach and travel home, with time to relax and share your happy memories with your newly made friends and fellow travellers.

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationPick up some individual and unique Christmas gifts at Plymouth Christmas Market, located in the heart of the city centre. Browse to your heart’s content as more than 50 traders from across the South West will be selling their wares in traditional wooden cabins, festooned with fairy lights. Pick up unique gifts for friends and family, with everything from handmade jewellery and artwork to sweet treats to choose from. Warm up with a mulled wine from the Bavarian Bar and tuck into festive food from one of the many street food stands. With live music and entertainment, it’s the perfect place to pick up some Christmas gifts and get into the Christmas spirit. Situated in the heart of Plymouth City Centre, the Christmas market is located in the Piazza, just a short walk from Drake Circus Shopping Centre and the Barbican with its historic cobbled streets and wide range of restaurants, cafes, antique and gift shops.

Bay of Lights, English Riviera

The Bay of Lights on the English Riviera is a dazzling highlight of the festive season, transforming the coastline into a sparkling celebration of colour and light. Stretching across Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, the illuminations create a magical trail along the seafront, cliffs and harbours, bringing a warm glow to winter evenings by the sea.

As darkness falls, thousands of twinkling lights reflect across the water, illuminating palm trees, promenades and coastal landmarks. The effect is truly enchanting, blending traditional Christmas charm with the Riviera’s unique seaside character. Whether viewed from the comfort of a coach or during a leisurely evening stroll, the Bay of Lights offers a memorable festive experience for all ages.

Along the route, you’ll find beautifully lit viewpoints, festive displays and a welcoming atmosphere in the surrounding towns, with cafés, pubs and shops adding to the seasonal buzz. Babbacombe Hotel Babbacombe

A warm welcome awaits you at the beautifully located Babbacombe Hotel. Enjoying a level position directly overlooking the famous Babbacombe Downs & seafront, the hotel offers stunning views in comfortable surroundings. All bedrooms are light, airy and comfortably furnished, many with breathtaking views overlooking the beachfront (supplements apply). Live, cabaret entertainment is provided most nights in the lounge and there is a lift to all floors. Dinner is usually a 3-course carvery buffet with a minimum 3 options for each course.

The Babbacombe Hotel caters well for disabled guests with a number of purpose built wetrooms and all public areas situated on the ground floor. However, please note to access many of the single rooms at the hotel there are a minimum of THREE Stairs and a Maximum of SIX. The hotel does not have any ground floor single rooms and therefore all of these rooms are accessible by a combination of a lift and the 3-6 steps. All single rooms have walk in showers. There are no single rooms with sea views. Sea view rooms can be reserved in advance for an additional charge (subject to availability). Due to high demand, it’s unlikely these will be available to upgrade to upon arrival.
