Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning and head north towards Yorkshire and your hotel just outside Leeds, with frequent comfort stops en route. Arrive late afternoon, check in and maybe enjoy a drink in the hotel bar before enjoying a tasty evening meal.

Day 2

After a tasty breakfast join your coach this morning for a full day exploring James Herriot country. This includes a visit to James Herriot World and a visit to picturesque Grassington. Return back to the hotel after a full day of sightseeing and relax in the bar before enjoying a final dinner at your hotel.

Day 3

Enjoy a final tasty breakfast this morning, depart your hotel and head for the bustling city of Manchester - recently voted the 13th best city on the planet by Timeout Magazine. Enjoy plenty of time to enjoy the city and find out what makes it so popular before rejoining your coach and heading back home.

Like millions worldwide, you’ve probably read his books or watched All Creatures Great and Small, or maybe you’ve heard of James Herriot on the TV series The Yorkshire Vet. Well why not come and see where James Herriot, the world’s most famous vet, lived, worked and wrote his incredibly successful series of books based on his experiences as a young North Yorkshire vet.

Walk through his fully-restored 1940s home and surgery in Thirsk; travel back in time to what life was like when James was practicing. See the car he drove, step into the TV set, try your hand at being a vet, plus so much more including interactive games for Herriot fans of all ages. A visit to the World of James Herriot is something you will never forget.

Grassington

Picture a bustling cobbled market square, fringed by shops offering everything from practical essentials to totally tempting luxuries. Art galleries, crafts and open studios complete the Yorkshire shopping experience. The hotel bar and lounge area provides an informal and relaxed space to unwind.  Bright, modern bedrooms are all well equipped with en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, flat Screen TV with Freeview, hairdryer and iron and ironing board plus there is Wifi throughout. There is a Health Club with swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, and steam room plus a fully equipped gym. The hotel does not have a lift but ground floor rooms are available on request.
