Then our 3-day seaside escape could be made for you.This short break takes you to the Mercure Hotel, set right on Paignton Seafront with stunning views across Torbay. You'll have breakfast and dinner included, giving you the comfort and ease of a hotel break without the traditional New Year's Eve party pressures.
A Different Kind of New Year
Unlike our more traditional New Year tours, this one doesn't include gala dinners, black-tie entertainment, party games, or organised celebrations.
If you fancy a quieter break, with a New Year's Day wander on the beach to blow away the cobwebs, and leisurely strolls along the English Riviera – then this is perfect for you. We're including a mini-tour along the Bay of Lights on New Year's Day evening, so please join us if you wish.
It's New Year, but at your own pace. Relaxed, refreshing, and right by the sea.
If you do want a bit more New Year's eve action, Paignton's pubs, restaurants, and seafront promenade are right on your doorstep, so you're free to celebrate however you choose. Toast midnight with a quiet drink, join the locals for festivities in town, or simply enjoy the comfort of your seafront hotel – the choice is entirely yours.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your coach this morning and head south for the pretty seaside resort of Paignton. Check into your comfortable 4* seafront hotel and relax.....because that is what this entire break is about. Maybe take a walk along the seafront and then enjoy your included tour of the pretty Bay of Lights. Return to the hotel for a tasty dinner before enjoying the rest of New Year's Eve as you wish.Day 2
Enjoy a hearty breakfast (and maybe a lie in?) along with a tasty evening meal at your hotel and enjoy this quieter New Year's Day as you like it.
Day 3
After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to Paignton today, heading homewards with time to relax and suitable stops on the way.Tour includes
