Plymouth and Scenic & Naval Harbour cruise
With its rich maritime heritage and its status as the regional capital for culture, Plymouth is one of the most dynamic and fascinating places to visit in Devon. If you’re a fan of all things nautical, then be sure to make a trip to Plymouth Hoe. Not only is it the backdrop for Sir Francis Drake’s legendary game of bowls, but it’s also one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world. You can get incredible views of the Plymouth from Smeaton’s Tower. And don’t forget to pay a visit to the Barbican, a bustling array of specialist shops, restaurants, cafes and world-class attractions in Devon, all set against the backdrop of Plymouth's picturesque harbour.
Don’t miss our included Scenic & Naval Harbour cruise. The skipper will provide informative commentary as you sail across the Plymouth Sound flanked by the Devon and Cornish coasts. The cruise will take you past Plymouth Hoe, Drakes Island to the River Tamar where warships and nuclear submaries await! The cruise lasts one hour.
Totnes & Dartmouth
Totnes is a charming Devon town with a bustling main street and a regular market (which you will be able to visit on Saturday) situated in the Dart Valley running through, the town is surrounded by woodlands, grassy fields and riverside walks. It is built on a hill rising up from the Dart. The old warehouses on the wharf have been restored preserving the character of the place.
Dartmouth You have to go a long way to find a town as pretty as Dartmouth. Overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage and is packed with narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, Medieval and Elizabethan streets. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere.
