The iconic palm trees could fool you into thinking you were in the Mediterranean. The coast of Torquay is scattered with beautiful piers and russet-red cliffs. Enjoy long leisurely walks along the promenade and take in the relaxed atmosphere. Make time to walk up the steps of Royal Terrace Gardens. Remember to take in the amazing sea views across the bay at night with the lights reflecting onto the sea. Add an Agatha Christie connection and steam trains and it all adds up to some grand days out beside the sea.
To make this weekend extra special, there is also a half day trip to Newton Abbot on market day and cream tea at the hotel, plus a chance to watch the rugby at the Riviera sports bar!

The Riviera Hotel
The Riviera Hotel is in the heart of Torquay is the perfect place to enjoy fabulous food, comfortable bedrooms, cabaret entertainment, superb indoor pool and friendly customer service, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk from Torquay’s award winning beaches, sparkling blue sea and all that Torquay has to offer. The accommodation comprises 140 well-appointed bedrooms with digital flat screen TVs, hairdryers and tea & coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy free entertainment to suit all ages on most evenings of the year, including bingo, quizzes, highly professional cabarets and dancing.
After joining the coach, we head to the South West with convenient stops along the way, before arriving in Torquay in time for your evening meal at the Riviera Hotel, so you can settle in, enjoy dinner and your first night of entertainment.
Tuck into a hearty breakfast to fuel your day, before joining us on our INCLUDED excursions to Newton Abbot for a couple of hours in the morning for Market day. You’ll also have a chance to tuck into a delicious Devon Cream Tea at the Riviera and enjoy watching the rugby game at the Riviera Sports Bar.
After a final tasty breakfast at the Riviera, we’ll leave Torquay and make our way back home, taking breaks with a chance to get coffee/lunch along the way. Don’t forget there are no interchanges when with Leisuretime to and from your destination, so you can sit back and relax and enjoy the coach ride.

Newton Abbot is a historic market town surrounded by beautiful South Devon countryside. The town is home to a large range of shops, restaurants and open spaces. If you like shopping, there are a number of markets held throughout the week including an outdoor market held on a Saturday, and a popular indoor Pannier Market. As well as the markets, Newton Abbot town centre is home to a wide variety of shops from high street names to independent retailers and a department store. The town also provides access to some great parks and outdoor spaces Decoy Country Park, Courtenay Park and Bakers Park can all be found within walking distance of the centre, as can the Town Quay and new bridge.
