Grand Burstin Hotel
Looking not unlike a majestic ocean liner, the Grand Burstin towers over Folkestone’s attractive harbour and offers excellent choice of facilities and a full programme of LIVE CABARET. Take a break at the Grand Burstin and dine in style, unwind in relaxed surroundings, maybe even enjoy a little light exercise in the Pavilion Leisure Club (additional charge). And for the evenings, perhaps best of all, is the entertainment...renowned as one of the UK’s great entertainment hotels, the Grand Burstin’s resident team put on the glitz and glamour for a different cabaret spectacular every evening.
After joining the coach, we head towards our destination that will have coffee/lunch stops along the way. We expect to arrive at our hotel late afternoon.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before joining us on one of the INCLUDED excursions where you’ll be able to explore and see the sights of Kent. Return to the hotel every evening for dinner and evening entertainment.
After breakfast we make our way home. After stopping for a chance to get coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.
Whitsable & Herne Bay
Whitsable is the place to go for quirky shops, oysters and the English seaside. Walk around the harbour or West Beach and spot windsurfers in the waves at Tankerton Beach. For a spot of shopping, head into the town and browse the shops or enjoy a trip to Whitsable Museum and Gallery or the Horsebridge Art Centre.
After some free time in Whitsable we head along the coast to Herne Bay. A classic seaside town, you can wander along the huge pier or admire the town’s standout feature, the clock tower. For a bit of fun, there is mini golf on the seafront or enjoy some peace and quiet in Memorial Park.
Leeds Castle has been a Norman stronghold; the private property of six of England’s medieval queens; a palace used by Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon; a Jacobean country house; a Georgian mansion; an elegant early 20th century retreat for the influential and famous; and in the 21st century, it has become one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain. You'll love it...
Tunbridge Wells & Spa Valley Railway
Royal Tunbridge Wells offers Kentish town and country at its best. This historic spa town has welcomed visitors for over 400 years. Browse among the chic independent shops of the collonaded Pantiles and the High Street, with busy cafes, bars, music and one-of-a-kind shops or enjoy a bite to eat or drink in one of the many fashionable bars or restaurants dotted throughout the town.
The Spa Valley Railway is a standard gauge heritage railway that runs from Tunbridge Wells to several countryside stations in Kent and Sussex. As you journey along the railway enjoy pleasant views of the surrounding area. The trains are all wheelchair accessible.
