After breakfast we head off to Windsor, with entry to Windsor Castle. After looking around and time to see the lovely town surrounding the castle, it’s back on the coach and driving home, arriving in the later afternoon.

Kensington Palace

There's something quite special about Kensington Palace. Built in 1605 it became the royal home for William & Mary in 1689 and has since been home to a number of members of the Royal family, including most recently the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children. On 24th May 1819, Princess Victoria was born in Kensington Palace, an infant who would one day rule over the largest empire the world had ever known. Within the permanent representation of Victoria’s rooms at the palace, you will explore the princess’s education through a display of remarkable objects relating to her early years, including a poignant scrapbook of mementos created by her governess, Baroness Lehzen. The exhibits reveal the world of the lively and creative princess and delve into her family life, friendships and bitter struggles during her upbringing under the strict 'Kensington System'.

Hampton Court Palace

Discover the magnificence of Henry VIII's favourite royal residence. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the bustling Base Court and marvel at the breath-taking grandeur of Henry's State Rooms. Tickle your taste buds in the vast Tudor kitchens, stroll through over 60 acres of enchanting gardens, lose yourself in the famous maze and appreciate the beauty of one of the greatest palaces on earth. Creep along the Haunted Gallery and discover another palace, the Baroque Palace, full of intrigue and gossip from the Stuart and Georgian eras. Audio guides are included in the palace ticket and costumed tours and talks happen daily. Enjoy!

Windsor Castle

Windsor sits on the River Thames and is home to Windsor Castle, one of the most iconic residences of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs and remains one of the most impressive historic buildings in the country. With our included entry to the castle, you can see a glimpse of life inside the oldest occupied castle in the world. You will be able to see the unique pictures in Waterloo Chamber, Queen Mary’s Doll House, the magnificent State Apartments which are home to fine works of art by Rubens and Rembrandt and see the splendour of St George’s Chapel, where The Duke and Duchess of Sussex married!
