Norfolk is a beautiful country so why not join us in a beautiful resort and take the coach out on some super, amazing value excursions.
Great Yarmouth is one of the UK’s most popular seaside resorts, with an enviable mix of sandy beaches, attractions, entertainment and heritage. Full of holiday surprises and contrasts, the resort is set amidst beautiful coastal and rural surroundings, alongside the famous Norfolk Broads. When the sun goes down, Great Yarmouth becomes a wonderland of colour, as the illuminations light up the town. Behind the glitter and lights lies a charming town, steeped in history. Discover one of the most complete medieval walls in England, the historic South Quay and Nelson’s other column! We have included some super days out, visiting the county capital Norwich, a cruise through the gorgeous Norfolk Broads, as well as a trip along the coast to Cromer and Sheringham.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
This Victorian hotel was built in 1870 and was a favourite of Charles Dickens when he visited Great Yarmouth. Located on the seafront, the Royal Hotel has a pleasant lounge and bar whilst all the bedrooms are comfortably equipped with the usual amenities that you would expect to find in a seaside hotel.
After joining the coach at one of our local pick-up points, head east to the Norfolk and the resort of Great Yarmouth. There will be convenient coffee/lunch stops en route and after we have settled into our rooms, dinner will be served this evening.
Enjoy hearty breakfasts each morning with time to enjoy our base resort at leisure along with three included excursions.
After a last delicious breakfast, it is sadly time to make our way home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.
Norwich is a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic, one complementing the other. Like any great city its centre is easy to walk around and has a river at its heart. As well as being the most complete medieval city in the UK, it has a flourishing arts, music and cultural scene, superb independent as well as High Street shopping, lively restaurants, bars and nightlife and a heritage that is a delight to explore. It was also England's first UNESCO City of Literature – this is a city of stories and also the only UK city set in the middle of a National Park, the Norfolk Broads. It is a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic, one complementing the other. Like any great city its centre is easy to walk around and has a river at its heart along with a great street market that is open 6 days a week.
Norfolk Broads with River Cruise
Enjoy a leisurely cruise through the gorgeous Norfolk Broads and discover what makes this unique region so popular with visitors year after year. This is a remarkable region of the UK, an oasis of natural beauty that never fails to impress and delight visitors.
Cromer & Sheringham
Cromer is a classic North Norfolk seaside town, situated on a cliff-top overlooking fine sandy beaches. Cromer Pier has survived despite bad damage over the years and is a traditional seaside pier with a Lifeboat Station and Pavilion Theatre, which still stages end of pier shows. Cromer was developed into a significant resort by the late Victorians, when healthy breezes were sought rather than sun-drenched sands. Cromer church dominates the town as it has the tallest tower in Norfolk. The streets and alleys are crammed with shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
You'll love it here... Sheringham is a traditional seaside town, which grew up around its old fishing village, and a few little boats still bring in the daily catch. Sheringham is home of the North Norfolk Railway (The Poppy Line), which operates steam train rides to Holt. Sea, cliffs, fine sands and bracing air are some of the reasons why Sheringham is so popular. Sheringham has plenty of facilities, including many interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.
