With more than 300 beautifully festooned stalls and chalets spread across the city centre, the Christmas Markets are free and accessible to all. Soak up the atmosphere and follow the market trail as it winds through the city centre, tempting you with gifts, crafts, jewellery, clothes and toys. European and local producers offer everything from fine amber jewellery, handcrafted leather bags and top-quality bonsai trees, to handmade Belgian kitchenware, framed photo prints and French soaps.

And don’t miss the amazing array of food and drink! Manchester’s Christmas Markets are famous for traditional bratwurst, but visitors can also treat themselves to Hungarian goulash, Spanish paella or a good old-fashioned hog roast.

Mercure Bolton Georgian House

Built around a Georgian manor house with stunning views of the West Pennine Moors, this superb Bolton hotel has a health club, beauty spa, swimming pool and is ideal for leisure. All hotel rooms feature an HD TV, complimentary high-speed WiFi and many have superb views over the West Pennine countryside.

Itinerary

Day 1

After joining the coach at one of our convenient local pick up points, we head towards Manchester and aim to arrive at The Trafford Centre around lunchtime. Spend free time discovering the huge range of shops, bars and restaurants housed in this impressive shopping centre before re-boarding your coach in the early evening and heading to Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel.

Day 2

After a hearty Breakfast we make our way to Liverpool to enjoy this magnificent city and it's Christmas Market. We will re-join the coach mid afternoon to head back to the hotel to enjoy our included evening meal.

Day 3

After a hearty breakfast we make our way back into Manchester and it's famous Christmas Market. Enjoy time browsing the stalls and enjoying the festive entertainment before re-joining the coach mid-afternoon for our return journey back to South Wales.

Trafford Shopping Centre

As one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, The Trafford Centre is a fabulous place for you to shop for Christmas gifts of any kind. The range and choice available will amaze you and this certainly is one shopping centre that is almost guaranteed to have something for everyone!

Liverpool Christmas Market

Full of history, culture and friendly people, Liverpool is the ideal destination to discover and enjoy. A World Heritage Site with a wonderful collection of museums, galleries, shopping and dining, there really is something for everyone in this fantastic city. Head to St George Plateau to visit more than 40 rustic Christmas stalls selling food and drink from across four continents. There will also be local arts, Christmas decorations and candles on sale that will make wonderful gifts. Take a ride Ferris Wheel offering great views above the festoon lighting and other vintage fairground rides, great for those who are still a kid at heart.
