Our base for this festive treat is Exmouth, one of the oldest and most picturesque seaside towns in Devon. The town is the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and has two miles of sandy beach, which is perfect for a brisk winter walk! Close to Exeter, this vibrant town offers plenty of walking and cycling routes as well as local shops and restaurants to enjoy all year round.
We've also included excursions to Sidmouth & Bicton Park, Teignmouth & Dawlish plus a festive special on the River Exe. Your Turkey & Tinsel package includes great festive entertainment, Christmas Day Dinner with all the trimmings and even some bingo!
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Accommodation
The Ashton Court
The Ashton Court is situated on Louisa Terrace, part of the town’s historic ‘Beacon’, where many notable people chose to make their homes during Exmouth’s Georgian heyday. The hotel enjoys super views of the Exe Estuary and the beautiful coastline stretching out toward Tor Bay. This panoramic scene greets us afresh every morning. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lounge and lift.
Itinerary
Day 1
After joining the coach, we head towards Exmouth with convenient coffee/lunch stops along the way. We expect to arrive at the Ashton Court Hotel in the late afternoon in good time for dinner and the start of our programme of festive fun.
Days 2 - 4
Traditional English breakfast daily along with free time to enjoy the lovely resort of Exmouth plus our included excursions to Sidmouth, Bicton Park, Teignmouth and Dawlish. Return to this lovely hotel in the evening for dinner and our great Turkey & Tinsel package which includes great festive entertainment, Christmas Day Dinner with all the trimmings and even some bingo! Dinner and entertainment at the hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast we make our way home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.
Excursions
Sidmouth & Bicton Park
Sidmouth is a beautiful coastal town with a Regency feel which is ideal for visitors of all ages. Set in the middle of spectacular countryside, Sidmouth is home to beautiful beaches, stylish eating places and great shopping, with everything from unusual gifts, designer clothing and lifestyle goods available. Situated on the Jurassic Coast, its coastline is dominated by the vivid red sandstone cliffs which date back to the Triassic period. It is a great town for walking, be it a gentle stroll along the seafront or a more energetic climb up the stunning rocks. Make sure you also take some time to explore the town centre, rich in royal and architectural history, as well as discovering a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Bicton Park Botanical Gardens is a delight for anyone who loves the outdoors and gardening. The gardens have nearly 300 years of history, and home to many rare and beautiful species that have been collected from around the world. Take your time exploring the Palm house, Tropical House, Arid House and Temperate House and wander the Italian Garden and arboretum.
Teignmouth & Dawlish
Teignmouth is a stunning coastal town with historic Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches, and fresh local food. The town sits on the edge of the mouth of the river Teign and the South Devon coast – and is surrounded by lush Devon countryside, so you won’t find a more beautiful setting for a visit. Teignmouth is the ideal year-round destination with a lovely promenade, Victorian pier, lido, play park and crazy golf all within easy reach of the beaches and town centre. Teignmouth Town Beach is a long expanse of sand with the pier, arcades and promenade whilst Teignmouth River Beach is full of beautiful fishing boats and has a wonderful quaint village feel.
Dawlish is a traditional seaside town with a wonderful golden sand beach on its doorstep. The town offers a range of amusements and is centred upon The Lawn and Brook, which is home to the famous black swans. Dawlish boasts a long sandy beach which is perfect for summer day swimming, exploring rock pools or sand castle building. Dawlish Town Beach is just a short walk from the town centre and full of golden sand. The town has plenty of interesting shops and a brook that runs through the centre of a wide open green, The Lawn, which is great for games and picnics.
Festive Special on the River Exe
The tranquil waters of the River Exe allow you to cruise through the winter months to see this constantly changing landscape from its best perspective. This award-winning river is home to a wide range of wildlife and migrating birds that make for magnificent viewing in the autumn and winter seasons. Our circular cruise travels along the peaceful waters of the river towards Powderham Castle and along to where the river ends on Exmouth’s traditional seafront. The indoor heated lower decks have large windows for great viewing and outside upper decks with plenty of fresh air and blankets and a complimentary hot cup of tea or coffee is included!
