Itinerary
Day 1
Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2
We head south through Germany and into Austria to our hotel for a six-night stay.

Day 3 - Salamander Train Ride
Join our first train ride this morning. The Salamander Train carries us from Puchberg to Hochschneeberg and is one of only three-rack railways still in operation in Austria. The Schneebergbahn takes us on a journey through the high lying meadows of the Schneeberg, passing beautiful scenery.
In the afternoon, we take the train ride back to Puchberg and then return to our hotel in time for dinner. Tonight, we enjoy a tasting of the local Most (cider) after dinner.

Day 4 - Train Ride to Heaven
Our ‘Train Ride to Heaven’, to Mariazell, is the highlight today. Mariazell is situated on a hill where you have an impressive view of the Alps and the River Salza. Since 1330, Mariazell and its basilica have been an important place of pilgrimage.
After exploring this unique town we enjoy lunch in Mariazell. In the afternoon, we include a guided tour through the Lebkuchen Museum Pirker where one of the most famous Lebkuchen (ginger bread) in Austria is produced. Discover the range of products, made from Lebkuchen and honey.
Afterwards, enjoy a guided tour in the famous and impressive basilica of Mariazell before driving back towards our hotel, where the evening ends with dinner and traditional music from the region.

Day 5 - Danube Valley
Join today's included Danube Valley Tour. We include a guided tour of Melk Abbey and then head to Aggsbach Markt, from where we take the Wachaubahn train to Krems. In Krems, we visit the winery Sandgrube13 where you can enjoy a tour through the vineyards.

Day 6 - Vienna
Join our full-day included excursion to the Imperial City of Vienna which is, without question, one of Europe’s great cities. As the home of the former Habsburg monarchy and the present day capital of Austria, it has much to charm the visitor. Join our guided sightseeing tour, where we will head by coach along the Imperial Boulevard known as the Ringstrasse. Here you will see the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament building, the Opera House, National Theatre and City Hall. During our tour we will also see the majestic Danube River, and later, as we pass by the Prater amusement park a chance to view the famous Giant Wheel, built over 100 years ago and today one of the most well-known landmarks of the city. Following the tour you will have time at leisure to visit many of the city’s famous landmarks, or you may decide to sit back and relax with a traditional Viennese coffee and a slice of the local Sachertorte chocolate cake in one of the city's tempting street cafés – the choice is yours! Tonight, we enjoy dinner at a traditional ‘Heurigen’ restaurant in Vienna, before heading back to our hotel.

Day 7 - Twin City Liner Cruise
Today, we travel by coach to Bratislava, where we enjoy an included guided tour. We also enjoy an included Twin City Liner cruise from Bratislava to Vienna, or vice-versa.

Day 8
We leave Austria with a farewell gift and head to Belgium for an overnight stay.
