12-Day Itinerary

• Day 1

  Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then continue to Belgium for an overnight stay.

  We continue our journey into Germany to our overnight hotel.

  We continue to Vienna and board the MS Viva Enjoy, our home for the next seven nights.

• Day 4 - Vienna

  We have a full day to explore Vienna today. Grand palaces, Baroque castles, magnificent squares, and striking monuments are just some of the key features of the Historic Centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  Alternatively, you can join our optional city tour this morning and discover the highlights of the capital.

  This afternoon, why not take advantage of our optional excursion to Schönbrunn Palace? On a journey through time, soak up the rich history and opulent interiors as we explore some of the 1,441 rooms.

  We depart Vienna tonight and start our journey along the Danube.

• Day 5 - Vac

  We continue meandering down the beautiful Danube this morning, arriving in Vac early afternoon. Vac is home to the only Arc de Triomphe in Hungary and has a beautiful Baroque square in the heart of the town with colourful buildings, fountains and surrounded by pastry shops and restaurants.

  We depart later in the day and continue sailing to Budapest, mooring this evening.

• Day 6 - Budapest

  We have a full day today to explore Budapest. Why not make the most of your visit by joining our optional guided tour?

  Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with an extensive area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We explore both sides of Hungary’s capital, which is divided by the meandering Danube: traditional Buda, and the more cosmopolitan Pest. Most of the famous sites are concentrated around Castle Hill on the Buda side, in downtown Pest and along the riverside walkways. Look out for the Royal Palace, Fisherman’s Bastion, Parliament Building, St Stephen’s Basilica, Heroes’ Square, and the Chain Bridge.

  Alternatively, enjoy free time to venture into the centre at your own pace.

  We depart Budapest this evening and cruise through the night towards Bratislava.

• Day 7 - Bratislava

  We arrive in Bratislava around midday for some free time to enjoy the city. If you'd prefer, you can join our optional walking tour with a local guide – it is the perfect way to take in the best of this historic capital! Dominated by its castle and unique suspension bridge, we’ll explore the sights before sampling ‘Makovka’ – a sweet white chocolate with a poppy seed filling.

  We depart Bratislava this evening and continue our journey back towards Austria.

• Day 8 - Melk

  Enjoy a leisurely morning cruising towards Melk, where we arrive around midday. Melk lies in the beautiful Wachau Valley and you can join our optional excursion visiting the Benedictine Abbey. This is one of the most famous monastic houses in Austria and has been occupied by monks for over 900 years.

  We depart Melk tonight and cruise through the night towards Linz.

• Day 9 - Linz

  We arrive in Linz this morning and have a full day to explore. Linz is a lively, modern city, but also has a long and eventful history. Wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town with the striking facades of its historic buildings or enjoy the exciting cultural scene with modern museums.

  Why not take advantage of our optional city tour and land train to see the main sights?

  We depart Linz this evening and sail overnight towards Vienna.

• Day 10

  We disembark our ship after breakfast and start on journey back to the UK, staying overnight in Germany.

  We continue our journey into Belgium and to our final overnight hotel.
