Itinerary

  • Aug 28

Local departure by coach, then to Belgium for a three-night stay.

  • Aug 29 - Bastogne

We begin this morning in the area west of Mons where the Tanks in Town Association will have a tank and vehicle display, plus a large militaria fair selling military memorabilia. Tank rides are also available here from the organisers. We will remain here for the lunch period and then depart for the Ardennes Battlefields and look at the ‘Battle of the Bulge’. We look at the role of US Airborne forces in the Ardennes in 1944, go to Foy, and the woods nearby to look at the story of Easy Company – the ‘Band of Brothers’ – during the fighting here in 1944. We end the day in Bastogne and visit the Bastogne War Museum.

Please note: day 2 and 3 are subject to change due to commemorative events.
