Itinerary
Day 1
Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service then onward to Belgium for an overnight stay in a four-star hotel.
Day 2 - Cologne
We leave our hotel this morning and continue on to the vibrant city of Cologne which stands on the banks of the Romantic River Rhine. This 2,000-year-old city is a marvel, from its gothic architecture to its impressive cathedral that dominates the city’s skyline. As you wander through the town, you’ll discover a Roman wall, medieval churches, Avant-garde structures and even a post-modern quarter on the banks of the Rhine.After free time exploring the city, we continue our journey to the Hotel Schloss Schweinsburg, where we stay for the next four nights.

Day 3 - Zwickau
This morning we visit Zwickau, a beautiful town set in a valley at the foot of the Erzgebirge Mountains and the birthplace of composer Robert Schumann. The town is known for its impressive cathedral and historical Old Town, which is home to the affectionately restored Art Nouveau and Wilhelminian style buildings that dominate the town.We spend the afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy the excellent facilities at the hotel.

Day 4 - Dresden
Today we visit the city of Dresden. A fascinating 800 year old city, which literally rose again from the ashes to be lovingly restored after the Second World War. You will have time at leisure to explore and see the sights, such as the famous Church of Our Lady, the Zwinger and the Old Town.Meals - Breakfast, Dinner
Day 5 - Free time or Erfurt and Weimar
Choose to spend the day at leisure or join our optional excursion into the German region of Thuringia and to the pretty market town of Erfurt. Martin Luther, the great Reformer, once declared that Erfurt is "in the ideal location, the perfect place for a city". Erfurt’s historical centre was spared destruction during WW2 and today offers a perfect glimpse of modernity and history coexisting gracefully.After free time we continue to Weimar where you can have free time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage town.

To Belgium for an overnight stay.

You will stay for four nights at the Hotel Schloss Schweinsburg. The hotel is comprised of a number of buildings around the castle - bedrooms and the restaurant are located in these buildings.
