If you fancy escaping the hustle and bustle of the centre, climb aboard the Hungerburgbahn funicular (at own cost) to reach the Hungerburg mountain station where you are guaranteed breathtaking views of Innsbruck. From here, you can also hop aboard the panoramic cable car and continue on up to the Seegrube. Here, you can have lunch at the restaurant or go to the highest viewpoint to the Hafelekar at 2,256m.

We depart this morning for Swarovski Crystal Worlds. With over 14 million visitors since its grand opening, the Crystal Worlds is one of Austria’s most popular attractions. Admire the Swarovski Giant and the Chambers of Wonder, as well as the Crystal Cloud.
We continue to Lake Achen, the largest Alpine lake in the Tyrol. Known as the ‘Fjord of the Alps', Lake Achen is a natural beauty spot. With its eye-catching water colours ranging from emerald green to ultramarine, alongside its fascinating mountain scenery, it’s easy to see why Achensee is such a popular destination.
