  • Day 2 - Private Guided Tour of the Lake District

Following breakfast, we'll swap our coach for a 16-seater vehicle, allowing us to navigate the Lake District with ease. Alongside knowledgeable local guide, we embark on a journey through six captivating lakes: Windermere, Brotherswater, Ullswater, Thirlmere, Grasmere Lake, and Rydal Water.

You will get to experience the magic of Castlerigg Stone Circle, an ancient site that even predates the renowned Stonehenge. As you soak in its panoramic views, your guide share enchanting tales, legends, and myths that surround the lakes. We'll make pit stops at several vantage points, ensuring you capture the picturesque sights.

Finally, we visit Grasmere, once the residence of the legendary poet, William Wordsworth. Delight in the ambiance of one of the Lake District's most cherished villages before heading back to the comforts of our hotel for an evening of relaxation.

    Meals - Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day 3 - Cruise of Lake Windermere & Bowness-on-Windermere

Following our breakfast, we make our way to the pier and board our vessel for a morning sail on the serene Lake Windermere. You’ll be truly captivated by the panoramic views of majestic mountains, hidden bays, and wooded islands.

Our voyage concludes at the picturesque town of Bowness. Here, you're free to explore. Perhaps visit the Beatrix Potter attraction, or maybe enjoy a tranquil lakeside walk with an ice cream in hand.

After soaking up Bowness's beauty, we'll head back to the hotel, with free time to unwind before dinner.

    Meals - Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day 4 - Holker Hall & Gardens

After breakfast, we set off to explore one of Lancashire's most magnificent stately homes: Holker Hall. Perched between the picturesque hills of the Lake District and the expansive sea, this gem has remained the cherished residence of Lord and Lady Cavendish for its entire 400-year history. As you wander through its grand chambers, take in the refined elegance of the drawing room and the lavish details of the dining room. As you ascend the eye-catching staircase, be sure to notice the portraits of Charles II and make your way to the distinguished bedroom that hosted Queen Mary in 1937.

Outside the home, a horticultural wonder awaits. Spanning 23 acres, the gardens of Holker Hall have flourished, with each Cavendish generation leaving their unique mark. Revel in the meticulously designed formal gardens, where a diverse array of flowers, shrubs, and trees thrive, including a Great Lime Tree.

(Please note: There is wheelchair access throughout the site with the exception of the first floor of the Hall)
