  • Day 2 - Kochi

    Upon arrival in Kochi (formerly known as Cochin), you’ll be warmly greeted by your local guide and transferred by coach to your hotel. Take some time at leisure to settle in and familiarise yourself with your surroundings.

    In the evening, enjoy a welcome gathering hosted by your expert guide, who will introduce you to the rich history and vibrant culture of Kerala. This engaging introduction will set the tone for your journey, followed by a delicious dinner at your hotel.

  • Day 3 - Guided Heritage Walk of Fort Kochi, Matthancherry & Kathakali Traditional Dance Performance

    This morning, depart your hotel for a guided Heritage Walk of Fort Kochi, where you'll explore the charming nooks and crannies of this historic coastal town. Discover the iconic Chinese fishing nets, still in use today, and visit landmarks such as the St. Francis Church – the oldest European church in India – and the striking Santa Cruz Basilica, with plenty of opportunities to capture memorable photos along the way.

    This morning, leave the coastal charm of Kochi behind as you journey into the lush, rolling hills of Munnar. The scenic drive, which takes approximately 4.5 to 5 hours, offers a vibrant glimpse into rural life in Kerala – full of colour, activity, and changing landscapes.

    Upon arrival in Munnar, settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Nestled at the confluence of three rivers, Munnar is South India’s largest tea-growing region and a haven of peace and greenery.

    As the day cools, consider taking a leisurely evening stroll through Munnar’s bustling local market. Discover stalls brimming with fresh produce, fragrant spices, handmade chocolates, and an array of local delicacies. The nearby fish market and colourful vegetable displays offer a fascinating look into everyday life in this highland town.

    This morning, embark on a guided tour of Munnar, beginning with a visit to a local tea plantation and the fascinating Munnar Tea Museum. Learn about the rich history of tea cultivation in the region and observe the process from leaf to cup.

    Next, visit the inspiring Srishti Welfare Center, a community initiative empowering local women. Here, you’ll witness eco-friendly techniques used to create natural dyes from plants, bark, and roots. These are transformed into beautifully crafted items such as dyed fabrics, handmade paper bags, envelopes, and bookmarks – perfect as thoughtful, sustainable souvenirs.

    After breakfast, we begin the scenic transfer from Munnar to Thekkady, a journey of approximately 4.5 to 5 hours. Along the way, soak in the breathtaking views of emerald-green hills and terraced plantations. The route winds through lush landscapes where you may witness the harvesting of cardamom, rubber, and other fragrant local spices – a true feast for the senses.

    Upon arrival, embark on a guided tour of the Periyar Spice Garden, where you’ll discover a fascinating array of spices growing in their natural habitat. Stroll through the aromatic streets and winding paths of Kumily, where the air is thick with the scents of cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper.

    Upon arrival, step aboard your deluxe traditional 'Kettuvallam' houseboat, a beautifully crafted vessel with a thatched roof and elegant wooden interiors. Settle in for a truly unique overnight journey through the enchanting backwaters of Kerala.
