9-Day Tour

  • Day 1 – Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then onwards to Belgium for an overnight stay.
  • Day 2 – Continue to Prague for a two-night stay.Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 3 – Included day in Prague, the elegant Czech capital. Our optional, guided walking tour (included on Silver Service and Luxuria) introduces the splendid architecture of Prague Old Town, the world’s largest UNESCO site. You can also join an optional cruise along the majestic Vltava River taking you past spectacular views of the famous sights of the city.Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 4 – We leave Prague and, en route to Budapest for a two-night stay, make an included visit to Bratislava, with its exquisitely renovated centre of Baroque palaces, fountains and romantic streets. Tonight you can enjoy an optional ‘Budapest by Night’ excursion.Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 5 – A full day to discover the Hungarian capital at leisure. Our optional, guided sightseeing tour captures many sights including the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Royal Palace, Parliament Building and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Beginning with a drive to Gellért Hill, we then cross the famous Chain Bridge and travel on to the Pest district, passing Heroes Square and ending at the Buda Castle district.Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 6 – En route to the Vienna Woods/Stockerau area for a two-night stay, we visit Györ, one of the best-preserved examples of a Hungarian Renaissance and Baroque town. We continue to Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, where the gardens and park will take you into a world of Baroque culture (palace entrance is at extra cost).Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 7 – Included day in Vienna which has a fascinating heritage as the centre of the Habsburg Empire. Our optional, guided sightseeing tour will introduce the principal sights, including the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament Building, the Opera House, National Theatre and the City Hall. We see the house where Johann Strauss composed the Blue Danube Waltz before crossing the Danube to see the United Nations complex, then pass the famous Prater Wheel before returning to the centre.Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day 4 – Enhance you Czech adventure with an unforgettable optional excursion discovering the secrets of this intriguing city/ Accompanied by our local guide, we travel by coach to Prague Castle, the largest medieval castle in Europe. We take a stroll through the courtyards viewing the exterior of the imposing St. Vitus Cathedral and walk to the main parade entrance where the soldiers stand guard and take in the lovely views of the city. We then continue by coach to the Strahov Monastery for the best views of the Old Town and also to sample a glass of special beer from the monks' own brewery.Breakfast, Dinner

Accommodation

You will stay for two nights each at the 3-star Ibis Mala Strana or similar in Prague, the 4-star Novotel City in Budapest and a 4-star hotel in the Vienna Woods area or the 4-star City Hotel in Stockerau. All hotels have a restaurant and bar.

The 12-day tour will spend an extra night each in Prague and Budapest and a night in Bavaria or the Austrian Tyrol in a 3-star standard hotel.

Overnight stays in Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
