Day 1
Door-to-Door departure, then to Valkenburg where we stay for four nights.
Day 2 - Valkenburg
We have a day at leisure to relax and explore Valkenburg’s quaint cobbled streets and pretty buildings. Situated at the crossroads of three countries, Valkenburg has long been a favourite destination on account of its exuberance and extremely varied appeal. Valkenburg, or 'the Marlstone Town' as it is known locally, is famous for its castle and the elaborate system of Roman caves and tunnels which run beneath the town. Explore the quaint cobbled streets and beautiful buildings of this enchanting fortified town, or alternatively, relax with a glass of the local white beer.

Day 3 - Rhine & Moselle Valleys
Today's included excursion takes us to the majestic Rhine Valley. Famous for its picture-postcard villages, fairy tale castles and vineyards, there is no wonder that the area is considered by many to offer the most picturesque scenery in Germany. We visit the quaint Rhineland town of Boppard, which was once a Roman fort. Enjoy time at leisure in this pretty town to explore or amble along the promenade. During the day, an optional River Rhine lunch cruise will be available. Join us as we cruise through the Rhine gorge, famous for its ancient castles, picturesque villages and vine-clad slopes, and enjoy lunch on-board ship.Later, we travel to Cochem the ‘pearl of the Moselle’, a picturesque town with narrow cobbled streets and twisting alleys and restored half-timbered houses with slate roofs, overlooked by the magnificent Reichsburg Castle.

Day 4 - Drielandenpunt & Aachen
Join our included excursion as we travel to the Drielandenpunt (Three Country Point), near to the town of Vaals and where the borders of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands all meet. There will be a short amount of time here to take photos and explore before we continue into Germany to the nearby city of Aachen, famous for its magnificent cathedral and the Elisenbrunnen fountain, which is also the symbol of the city. There will be free time here for you to visit before returning to the hotel in time for your evening meal.
