Today we travel on to Aachen to enjoy an afternoon at the Christmas Market. The historic Old Town is perfect for visitors to stroll around. Here you can discover the charm of the narrow lanes and historic squares and be inspired by Aachen’s 2000 years of history.We continue to Hotel Buschhausen, Aachen, for a four-night stay. We enjoy a welcome drink and dinner.

Christmas Eve - Liege
Today we travel to the Belgian town of Liege, where you can take in the historical centre, or stroll around the Christmas market in Place Cathedrale.We return to our hotel this afternoon for afternoon tea and Aachen gingerbread, followed by a 4-course Christmas Eve dinner.

Christmas Day - Monschau
Merry Christmas! Today we visit the quaint German town of Monschau*. Located on the banks of a small river and overlooked from opposite hillsides by the ruins of a stone watchtower and an old palace, Monschau is a classically pretty town. Linked by a series of bridges, the town’s restaurants and shops lead up to the town centre where a charming church proudly stands. We return to our hotel in time to enjoy mulled wine prior to a Christmas dinner with turkey, music and dancing.*Please note that Christmas Eve/Day is a traditional religious festival and in many areas is still celebrated as such. This may mean that facilities in towns, villages and hotels may close early or be closed.

Boxing Day - Rhine & Moselle Valleys
Today we include a superb excursion to Germany’s famous Rhine and Moselle Valleys. We drive alongside the romantic Rhine and the majestic Moselle where you will see traditional towns and ancient castles nestled into vineyards along the riverbanks.

Christmas Eve - Aachen
This morning we have an included excursion to Aachen. The historic Old Town is perfect for visitors to stroll around. Here you can discover the charm of the narrow lanes and historic squares and be inspired by Aachen’s 2000 years of history. Aachen is widely known as the Cathedral City, a very special world heritage site, or the City of Fountains, and owes its national recognition as a healing spa city to its more than 30 sulphurous springs. Return to Valkenburg for time at leisure in this popular Dutch town.

Merry Christmas! Enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure before Christmas Day turkey lunch, followed in the afternoon by a visit the quaint German town of Monschau. Monschau is a classically pretty town, linked by a series of bridges, the town’s restaurants and shops lead up to the town centre where a charming church proudly stands. Later this evening enjoy dinner at the hotel followed by music and dancing.
