Its history dates back to the Middle Ages and is a hidden gem with its 16th Century City Hall and rows of elaborate guildhalls topped with golden statues.
At its centre is the centuries old Diamond District which houses thousands of diamond traders, cutters and polishers. Its medieval streets feature many Renaissance monuments and the ornate cathedral, which houses paintings by Rubens.

Boxing Day - The Hague & Scheveningen; Delft
We visit ‘the largest village in Europe’ this morning on our included excursion to The Hague. Despite its imposing and impressive skyline, The Hague is one of Holland’s greenest cities on account of the many leafy lanes and vast parks. You will have time at leisure here, to explore all the ‘city’ has to offer. This afternoon we travel to the popular Dutch seaside resort of Scheveningen. With wide sandy beaches, pleasant promenade, picturesque harbour, seaside shops, casino and superb eateries there really is something for everyone. From Scheveningen we continue to the charming town of Delft. With Grand houses, arched bridges, courtyards and narrow alleys, Delft is traditionally Dutch in appearance, but it is for the production of ceramic pottery that the town is most famous.
