    Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to northern France for an overnight stay.

    Continue south into northern Italy and to our overnight hotel near Parma.

    This morning we begin our journey south, bypassing Bologna, the home of the famous Bolognese sauce and, of course, the Tuscan capital of Florence. We continue past the ‘Eternal City’ of Rome and later Naples, Italy’s third largest city, before arriving at our hotel in the centre of Sorrento, where we spend the next ten nights.

  • Christmas Eve - Sorrento

    Enjoy the magical festive atmosphere in lively Sorrento. This morning, we include a short guided walking tour with some local tastings. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps taking the opportunity to sip an aperitif in the Piazza Tasso with its spectacular Christmas tree. This evening, we’ll continue the celebrations with a Christmas Eve gala dinner at the hotel.

    Happy Christmas! Today is at your leisure to explore Sorrento. A popular holiday resort for over 2,000 years, soak up the enchanting atmosphere as you wander the narrow streets. We enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch back at the hotel.

  • Boxing Day - Amalfi Drive

    Today’s included excursion takes us along one of the most spectacular roads in Europe, the ‘Amalfi Drive’. Winding along the cliff tops, expect breathtaking panoramic views at every bend. We will pause above the beautiful town of Positano, before continuing on to Amalfi. This is the largest and most popular town of this coastline, boasting medieval architecture and colourful façades. We continue to Ravello, which is considered by many to offer the best views of the area – it’s no surprise the town has been an inspiration for artists and gardeners for years.

  • Dec 27 - Free Time or Pompeii & Vesuvius

    Join us on our optional excursion as we visit the ancient site of Pompeii (entrance fee included). Located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii was engulfed during the eruption of this volcano in AD 79 – the inhabitants of the town were literally frozen in time. Continuing to the top of Mount Vesuvius, you will have the option of proceeding on foot to the volcano crater.

  • Dec 28 - Free Time or Capri

    Enjoy a day at leisure, or alternatively, join our fantastic optional excursion as we sail across the Bay of Naples to the Isle of Capri. Walk in the footsteps of Gracie Fields as you explore the maze of streets and piazzas, and the main square in Capri town with its pretty white church. With spectacular scenery in all directions, it’s easy to see why this tiny island is known as a playground of the rich and famous.

    Today, we visit the beautiful Italian capital city of Rome. We offer an optional sightseeing tour to introduce you to the city’s array of spectacular sights, including the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Piazza Venezia, and the Colosseum – the Romans’ greatest amphitheatre.

  • Dec 30 - Naples

    Today, our included excursion takes us to Naples, the largest city in southern Italy. Naples dates back to the time of the Greeks, and its name comes from the Greek Neapolis meaning ‘new city’. There will be free time for you to discover the historic and architectural sights ,such as the Piazza del Plebiscito. Alternatively, join our optional guided walking tour to understand the history of this interesting city.

  • New Year's Eve - Free Time or Herculaneum

    Join our fascinating optional half-day tour to Herculaneum, an ancient Roman town in the Italian region of Campania. The town is famous for how well it has been preserved following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. We return to Sorrento to prepare for tonight's gala dinner.

    Spend the day at leisure in Sorrento. Enjoy a stroll down to Marina Grande, or pick up some souvenirs in the craft shops of the drains area.

    Today, we visit take a leisurely drive to visit the port city of Salerno which also hosts a Christmas market with stalls containing handicrafts and typical foods. It’s the perfect place to find an original souvenir. Explore the city at leisure maybe taking time to visit the Arechi Castle, Minerva’s Garden or to enjoy a stroll along the seafront promenade.
