Day 1
Local departure by coach, then to our hotel in Holland for a three-night stay.
Day 2 - Anne Frank House & Amsterdam
We begin our tour with an included visit to the Anne Frank House in central Amsterdam. This fascinating site is now a museum, and you can visit the whole building. After lunchtime in central Amsterdam, we will walk to the Schaduwkade, or Shadow Wall, a moving memorial which commemorates Dutch families sent to the Camps. We then visit the National Holocaust Museum, which tells the story of the Holocaust in the Netherlands, and see the Hollandsche Schouwburg Holocaust Memorial, which was a theatre used to detain Jews before they were moved out of Amsterdam by the Nazis. We will then look at the nearby Jewish Quarter, where you will have time to see the Jewish Museum before enjoying some free-time in central Amsterdam before we return to our hotel.

Day 3 - Anne Frank Apartment & Camp Vught
We return to central Amsterdam this morning to see the area where Anne Frank and her family lived before they went into hiding. We see the flats at Merwedeplein where the only known film of her was taken, see the memorial to her in the park, and also walk to the nearby school which she attended, now named after her. After lunch we travel out of Amsterdam to look at two of the nearby Concentration Camps used during the Holocaust in the Netherlands. At Camp Amersfoort we have an included visit to the memorial site to the camp that remained open for most of the war and used as a transit camp from which Dutch Jews were sent to places like Auschwitz and Buchenwald. We end the tour at Camp Vught, the only Concentration Camp run by the SS outside of Germany. We look at the stories of those who passed through here including another Dutch teenager like Anne Frank, David Koker, who wrote poems and a diary. Sadly he later died at Dachau. We have a fully guided included tour of the site and explore this important part of the history of the Holocaust.
