Day 1
Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to northern France for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Continue into Italy and to our overnight hotel.

Day 3 - Modena
Today, we head to Modena where we have an included walking tour of the centre. This beautiful art city is known for its food and wine traditions, including the production of its famous balsamic vinegar. Many automotive brands also reside here, such as the iconic names Ferrari and Maserati.
We also visit a vinegar factory on the outskirts of the city for a guided tour and tasting, allowing us to sample some of the region's produce.
We continue to our 4-star hotel in Montecatini Terme for a seven-night stay.

Day 4 - Concert at Teatro del Silenzio
Enjoy a leisurely day in Montecatini to explore at your own pace. Lunch is included today at our hotel.
Tonight, we enjoy the highlight of our tour as we take our seats for the Andrea Bocelli concert at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico. Bocelli’s concert is an extraordinary way to soak up the beauty of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by enchanting hills whilst being entertained by his music and incredible tenor voice.
Please note: There is a large amount of walking involved, as well as many steps to negotiate, at the Teatro del Silenzio. In the event of bad weather, the concert will be postponed to the following day.

Day 5 - Free Time in Montecatini Terme
Enjoy a day at leisure to discover the lovely town of Montecatini Terme.

Day 6 - Lucca with Guided Walking Tour
Today we enjoy a leisurely half-day visit to the beautiful Tuscan town of Lucca on our included excursion. Hidden behind imposing Renaissance walls, the town still follows the layout set by the former Roman colony founded in 180BC. We include a guided walking tour of the city to take in some of the key highlights, before having free time to explore at leisure.

Day 7 - Free Time or Siena with Guided Sightseeing Tour
Today's optional excursion takes us to the neighbouring region of Tuscany with a visit to the delightful town of Siena.
With our local expert guide, we discover a maze of red-brick buildings, Siena is a wonderfully preserved medieval treasure trove. At its heart lies Il Campo, renowned as Italy’s most beautiful piazza, which bustles with life and is the scene of the frenetic Palio horse race twice each year.
Enjoy beautiful views over the Tuscan countryside from the town’s lovely hilltop position.

Day 8 - Free Time or Volterra & Pisa
Today's optional excursion takes us to discover charming Volterra, known for its Etruscan origins and well-preserved medieval ramparts which surround the winding cobbled streets.
We continue onwards to the beautiful city of Pisa, home to the world-famous Leaning Tower. There will be time at leisure for you to explore all the city has to offer. Pisa is famous for its biscotti biscuits and bakeries all through the town sell different varieties. Our guided walking tour explores the Piazza dei Miracoli or Field of Miracles. The piazza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contains the city’s most famous sights. The Leaning Tower or Torre Pendente has to be the most legendary of them all.

Day 9 - San Gimignano & Chianti Country Wine Tasting
Join our included excursion to charming San Gimignano, which is instantly recognisable by its thirteen stone towers, from which the town takes its nickname of ‘Medieval Manhattan’. We also discover some of the famous Chianti countryside and the important heritage of the wine production in this area indulging in tasting the local produce.

Day 10 - Florence
We leave Montecatini and make our way to the Renaissance city of Florence. Take the opportunity to join our optional guided walking tour, which will reveal many of the stories behind the buildings and personalities that have shaped the history of this magnificent city. You will later have time at leisure to explore the endless historic sights, see the shops in and around the centuries-old Ponte Vecchio, or even have your portrait painted by one of the street artists who usually gather in the square next to the medieval Duomo.We continue to our overnight hotel in northern Italy.

Travel to northern France for an overnight stay.
