New Year’s Eve - Vienna
Today, we include an excursion to the Imperial City of Vienna, which is, without question, one of Europe’s great cities. As the home of the former Habsburg monarchy and the present-day capital of Austria, it has much to charm the visitor.
Let us introduce you to Vienna on our optional guided sightseeing tour. Our guided tour will begin by coach, where we will be taken along the Imperial Boulevard known as the Ringstrasse. Here you will see the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament building, the Opera House, National Theatre and City Hall.
During our tour, we will also see the majestic Danube River, and later, as we pass by the Prater amusement park, a chance to view the famous Giant Wheel, built over 100 years ago, and today one of the most well-known landmarks of the city.
Our guide will provide commentary throughout, revealing the history, culture and stories of one of Europe’s most fascinating cities.
Following the tour, you will have time at leisure to sit back and relax with a traditional Viennese coffee and a slice of the local 'Sachertorte' chocolate cake in one of the city's tempting street cafés – the choice is yours!

Jan 2 - Free Time or Bratislava
Today you have the choice to spend free time in resort or join our optional excursion into Slovakia and to the charming capital of Bratislava.
It is here that the Carpathian Mountains, which begin at the Iron Gate of Romania, finally come to an end. Many beautiful monuments survive in the Old Town to tell of its past under Hungarian rule.
To introduce you to this city, why not join our optional guided tour by coach and on foot. We pass the most important places, historical and cultural sights, seeing Bratislava Castle, Napoleon’s Hill and Slavin with their splendid panoramic views.
Then, on our walking tour through the pedestrianised Old Town, we take a look at St. Michael's Gate, the first University Istropolitana, St. Martin’s Cathedral (where the coronations where performed), the Primate’s Palace, the Old Town and end the tour at the Opera House.
