Itinerary

  • DAY 1 UK to Kathmandu
  • ​Today you'll fly to Kathmandu, Nepal's vibrant capital, via Abu Dhabi​.
  • DAY 2 Kathmandu
  • ​At our hotel we'll have a cookery class, eating the food we created for dinner.​
  • DAY 3 Gokarna Forest
  • ​Walk 5km/3mi - 2hrs

    The Gokarna Forest trail is rich with wildlife. We'll enjoy a two-hour walk here, passing holy sites including the Gokarna Mahadev Temple.

    Kathmandu City is home to the temple of the Living Goddess and the Kasthamandap – one of Nepal's largest pagodas. Our half-day tour also takes in the bustling tourist district of Thamel.

  • DAY 4 Shivapuri National Park
  • ​Walk 7km/4.5mi - 5hrs

    After visiting the Budhanilkantha Temple we'll walk through Shivapuri National Park, before taking a hike to Shivapuri. A downhill trail takes us to Budhanilkantha. Back at the hotel we'll enjoy a talk by an Everest summiteer​.

  • DAY 5 Chitwan
  • Today we'll drive to Chitwan, where we'll experience a canoe ride or visit a traditional village.
  • DAY 6 Chitwan
  • Located in the foothills of the Churla mountain range, Chitwan National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife, notably the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros and the elusive Bengal tiger. Here you'll enjoy an elephant safari before returning this evening.
  • DAY 7 Pokhara
  • ​Today we head to Pokhara, wonderfully placed for close-up views of the Himalayas. This evening why not join an optional excursion to the Peace Stupa​.
  • DAY 8 Dhampus
  • ​Walk 4.5km/3mi - 3-4hrs

    We'll drive to Phedi for our trek to Dhampus, where we'll see spectacular views over the Himalayas. We'll have lunch before we head back to Phedi.​

  • DAY 9 Pokhara
  • ​There's plenty of time to explore Pokhara today and enjoy a cruise on Phewa Lake.​
  • DAY 10 Patan
  • ​Following our morning flight to Kathmandu, we'll head to Patan for a traditional lunch. Our next stop is Khokhana, a living museum.​
  • DAY 11 Bhaktapur
  • ​Bhaktapur houses the palace of 55 windows and the Nyatapola Temple – the highest in Nepal. A farewell dinner is served in a restaurant in Kathmandu this evening, followed by a cultural show.​
  • DAYS 12 & 13 Kathmandu to UK
  • ​We'll transfer to the airport on day 12 for our flight back to the UK via Abu Dhabi, arriving on day 13.​

    • The 4-star Hotel Himalaya is situated in Kathmandu, boasting a 180 degree panoramic view of the Himalayas.

    • You will stay at the Jungle Villa Resort close to the Chitwan National Park Headquarters and situated by the bank of the Rapti River.

      Hotel amenities include a restaurant. Bedrooms have private facilities.

    • The Waterfront Resort overlooking the Phewa Lake has incredible lake view from each of its 58 deluxe rooms. Each room with a lake-view balcony is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It provides high-speed Internet access, delightful dining options and an outdoor swimming pool alongside with business and event facilities to handle conferences, meeting and cocktail celebrations. The hotel is only a 10-minute ride from the airport, and just 15-minute walk from the busy tourist hub or 5 minutes taxi ride.
