Not Included

  • Day 1 Poole to Jersey
  • Take the ferry from Poole to Jersey. On arrival we will transfer you to your hotel, and later we'll get to know one another better over a welcome drink before dinner.
  • Day 2 Greve de Lecq to St Ouen's Bay Walk 7 miles
  • A hearty breakfast at the hotel will set you up for the first walk of your holiday. We'll drive to Greve de Lecq, a beach on the north coast of the island, and then make our way on foot to St Ouen's Bay. Our walk takes us along both the north and west coasts of the island, where the landscape is dominated by rocky coves and dramatic cliffs covered in heather and bracken. You'll enjoy spectacular views out to sea, and when we arrive at the long sandy beach of St Ouen's Bay, you might be tempted to have a paddle in the sea.
We'll also visit The Channel Islands Military Museum today, which is located in an old German bunker and was once part of Hitler's Atlantic Wall defences. Inside, a collection of military and civilian artefacts provide an insight into the years of German Occupation on the island.
  • Day 3 St Aubin's Bay to La Corbière Walk 7 or 8 miles depending on the tide
  • We're going to the south coast today, where our walk begins in St Aubin's Bay, a pretty village and harbour. Following the Corbière Walk, an old railway line converted to a footpath, we'll head towards the iconic lighthouse of La Corbière. This 19th century landmark guides sailors safely around the south-west corner of the island, with a light that can be seen for 18 miles in clear conditions. We'll then take in stunning views as we walk back to St Brelade's Bay along the coast. Our day ends with a visit to St Helier, Jersey's capital and only real town.
  • Day 4 La Vallee de St Laurence & St Catherine's Bay Walk 8 miles
  • We're going to walk inland through La Vallee de St Laurence today. Our route takes us through the heart of the island to Le Carrefour Selous, we continue by coach to Devil's Hole on the north coast. This blowhole, measuring about 100ft across, plunges to depths of about 200ft and has been eroded into the cliff by the sea. We'll stop to take in the view and enjoy our packed lunch, before driving to St Catherine's Bay on the east coast. From here we'll walk to the village of Gorey, where the medieval castle of Mont Orgueil is perched above the harbour.
  • Day 5 Jersey to Poole
  • Your holiday comes to an end today as we transfer you to the quay for your ferry crossing back to Poole.
