Itinerary

  • Day 1 UK to Honfleur
  • Today you will travel from London St Pancras International by Eurostar to Calais. On arrival we'll transfer you to the port city of Honfleur, where you will join your ship. After time to settle into your cabin, you can get to know your fellow travellers over a welcome cocktail before dinner.
The rest of the evening is free, so maybe head into Honfleur to explore. Its picturesque port surrounded by narrow slate-fronted houses has been captured on canvas many times by the likes of Claude Monet, and is a great place to take a stroll.
  • Day 2 Honfleur
  • Why not join us on an optional walking tour of Honfleur this morning. Located at the mouth of the River Seine, this lovely port town was the birthplace of landscape painter Boudin and a favoured spot of Claude Monet. Our tour begins at the Vieux Bassin, the Old Harbour, and takes in highlights including the wooden Saint Catherine's Church, Greniers à Sel, the town's former salt warehouses, and Saint Léonard Church.
We'll head back to the ship for lunch and this afternoon you can join an optional excursion to the Côte Fleurie, a scenic stretch of the Normandy coastline. We'll visit the elegant seaside resort of Deauville and then continue to the 18th century Château du Breuil. A tasting of the region's famous apple brandy, Calvados, rounds off our tour.
  • Day 3 Rouen
  • We sail to the historic city of Rouen, where this afternoon you can join an optional sightseeing tour. Highlights include the beautifully restored medieval quarter, its impressive Gothic cathedral, and the Place du Vieux Marché - the spot where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431.
  • Day 4 Versailles & Paris
  • Today's optional excursion takes us to the beautiful Palace of Versailles, a royal residence up until the start of French Revolution in 1789. Depending on which package you have chosen, you'll either discover the palace and its magnificent gardens at a your own pace on a leisurely stroll, or explore the gardens by bicycle.
When we return to the ship we'll cruise towards Paris, passing the impressive architecture of La Défense on the way. Our ship moors in the French capital overnight, and we'll enjoy a gala evening on board.
  • Day 5 Paris to UK
  • After breakfast we will disembark the ship and transfer to railway station for our journey back to the UK.
